眾子既具血肉之體、聖子亦曾具血肉之體；其所以然者、乃欲通過死亡之關以滅彼掌握死權之沙殫、

所以，孩子们既然同属血肉之体，他也照样同有一样的血肉之体，为要藉着死亡来废除那掌握死亡权势的——就是魔鬼，

兒女既同有血肉之體，他也照樣親自成了血肉之體，特要藉着死敗壞那掌死權的，就是魔鬼，

既然兒女同有血肉之軀，他也照樣親自成了血肉之軀，為能藉着死敗壞那掌管死權的，就是魔鬼，

這樣，孩子們既有分於血與肉，他自己也同樣與分於血與肉，這是要讓他藉着死叫那掌有死權的——就是魔鬼——無能為力，

所以，孩子們既然同屬血肉之體，他也照樣同有一樣的血肉之體，為要藉著死亡來廢除那掌握死亡權勢的——就是魔鬼，

夫眾子既屬血氣、彼亦同之、致得由死而滅秉死之權者、即魔也、

子乃血氣之屬、主亦血氣之屬、欲以其死使魔鬼無權、不得逞其力以傷人、

眾子既有血肉之身、彼亦有血肉之身、致可以死而滅秉死之權者、即魔也、

Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death— that is, the devil—

Those children have bodies made out of flesh and blood. So Jesus became human like them in order to die for them. By doing this, he could break the power of the devil. The devil is the one who rules over the kingdom of death.

Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,

Because God’s children are human beings— made of flesh and blood— the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.

顧其昭著、則有待乎我恩主耶穌基督之降生耳。今彼已將死亡置於死地、且藉福音之道、已將永生與不朽布之於世，昭然若揭矣。

夫舊法之所以軟弱而無能者、實肉身之情慾、為之梗也。今天主竟使其聖子成人、且具罪人之形體、為罪捨身、於是吾人肉身中之罪、乃被處決、而不復能乘權矣。

道成人身。居我儕中。吾儕親睹。孔德之容。惟一聖子。無上光榮。妙寵真諦。充溢厥躬。

於以解除群魔之武裝、揭其慘敗、而慶聖架之凱旋。

我告兄弟、血肉不能承天主國、朽者不能承不朽也。

一旦有死者能化為無死、則經中所云：『死亡已被吞滅於凱旋中』者、乃見應驗矣，『嗚呼死亡！爾之勝利安在？爾之毒螫又安在哉？』死亡之毒螫、罪孽也；而罪孽之威權、律法也。感荷天主洪恩、吾人已藉吾主耶穌基督、而獲最後勝利矣。

斯世受判、斯世之君見逐、今其時矣！吾一經被舉於地、將攝引天下生靈、歸集吾身。』耶穌此言、所以預示其如何致命也。

作惡者、則出於自始作惡之魔鬼。而天主聖子之降世、正為掃蕩魔鬼之惡業也。故凡天主所生者、不犯罪、良以天主之道根、常存其心中故也。蓋既為天主之所生、尚能沉溺於罪中乎。且天主之子女、與魔鬼之子女、皆不難分辨也。凡行為不正者、不屬天主、不愛其兄弟者亦然。

永生不變；死於一時、而生於永古；掌握死亡及地獄之管籥者。

且其所以為新約之仲介者、亦欲以一己之死、贖人於舊約下所犯之眾罪、而令蒙召者得承受所許之永遠基業耳。

蓋正惟彼曾親嘗苦痛之磨練、故能弘濟在磨練中之眾人也。

且吾人之所有、非一不能體恤吾人荏弱之大司祭也。彼實身受百般磨練一如吾人第無罪耳。

時既成熟、天主乃遣其聖子、使之出於婦人之腹、而生於律法之下、

執龍而縛之。龍者、即古昔之蛇、亦名妖魔沙殫。至是縛之千載、

於是巨龍下墜；巨龍者、即古時、之蛇、名曰妖魔、沙殫、熒惑全世者是；彼與其天神、俱被逐至地。

且夫基督之所以死而復活者、正欲作生者死者之主宰、而黜陟幽明。

爾今後尚將遭受苦難；望爾毋餒。爾其識之。惡魔將投爾中若干人於獄；此所以予爾以磨練耳。且爾將受難十日、望爾忠貞至死、吾當加爾以生命之榮冠。

嗚呼、聖道之玄妙、不亦浩浩其天、淵淵其淵乎哉！所謂玄妙者無他、即現於肉身、證於聖神、見於天神、傳於兆民、信於普世、而躋於光榮者也。

乃屈尊紆貴、甘自為僕、而降生為人。其為人也、復謙之又謙、損之又損、惟天主之命是從；鞠躬盡瘁、死而後已、終至致命於十字架上。

剴切語汝、一粒麥種、設非落地而化、

王又將謂左者曰：「被詛者流、其離我！當投諸不熄之烈火、蓋此原為魔鬼及其眾徒而備也。
