Therefore, while the promise to enter His rest remains, let us fear that none of you should miss it.

We must, therefore, pay even more attention to what we have heard, so that we will not drift away.For if the message spoken through angels was legally binding and every transgression and disobedience received a just punishment,how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first spoken by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him.

Remember your leaders who have spoken God’s word to you. As you carefully observe the outcome of their lives, imitate their faith.

What then? If some did not believe, will their unbelief cancel God’s faithfulness?Absolutely not! God must be true, even if everyone is a liar, as it is written: That You may be justified in Your words and triumph when You judge.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

So, whoever thinks he stands must be careful not to fall.

But everyone who hears these words of Mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. And its collapse was great!”

Therefore I do not run like one who runs aimlessly or box like one beating the air.Instead, I discipline my body and bring it under strict control, so that after preaching to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

True enough; they were broken off by unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid.

“ Not everyone who says to Me,‘ Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven.On that day many will say to Me,‘ Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?’Then I will announce to them,‘ I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!’

You will bear the consequences of your sins 40 years based on the number of the 40 days that you scouted the land, a year for each day. You will know My displeasure.

once the homeowner gets up and shuts the door. Then you will stand outside and knock on the door, saying,‘ Lord, open up for us!’ He will answer you,‘ I don’t know you or where you’re from.’Then you will say,‘ We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets!’But He will say,‘ I tell you, I don’t know you or where you’re from. Get away from Me, all you workers of unrighteousness!’There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in that place, when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves thrown out.They will come from east and west, from north and south, and recline at the table in the kingdom of God.Note this: Some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.”

“ I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never turn away from doing good to them, and I will put fear of Me in their hearts so they will never again turn away from Me.

But if that slave says in his heart,‘ My master is delaying his coming,’ and starts to beat the male and female slaves, and to eat and drink and get drunk,that slave’s master will come on a day he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

But if that wicked slave says in his heart,‘ My master is delayed,’and starts to beat his fellow slaves, and eats and drinks with drunkards,that slave’s master will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not know.He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.“ Then the kingdom of heaven will be like 10 virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom.Five of them were foolish and five were sensible.When the foolish took their lamps, they didn’t take olive oil with them.

A wise man is cautious and turns from evil, but a fool is easily angered and is careless.
