We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized.

We want each of you to be faithful to the very end. If you are, then what you hope for will fully happen.

And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end,

Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.

Now we desire each of you to demonstrate the same diligence for the full assurance of your hope until the end,

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering.Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant. (niv)
