For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit,

論到那些已經蒙了光照、嘗過天恩的滋味、又於聖靈有分，

論到那些已經蒙了光照、嘗過天恩的滋味、又於聖靈有份、並嘗過上帝的話的美味，和來世權能的人，若再離棄真道，就不可能使他們重新懊悔了；因為他們親自把上帝的兒子重釘十字架，公然羞辱他。

原來，如果有人蒙過一次光照、嘗過屬天恩賜的滋味、曾經與聖靈有份、

夫人既蒙光照、得承天賚、共與聖神、

乃有始則明道、蒙天錫賚、共享聖神、

蓋人已蒙光照、受天上賞賜、得聖神之感、

蓋人若曾蒙光照、曾味靈寵、曾受聖神、

It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,

What if some people fall away from the faith? It won’t be possible to bring them back. It is true that they have seen the light. They have tasted the heavenly gift. They have shared in the Holy Spirit.

For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened— those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit,

For it is impossible to renew to repentance those who were once enlightened, who tasted the heavenly gift, who shared in the Holy Spirit,

For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit,

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,

For as touching those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,

For it is impossible to renew to repentance those who were once enlightened, who tasted the heavenly gift, became companions with the Holy Spirit,

For[ it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become partakers of the Holy Spirit,

For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,

For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses.How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.What the true proverb says has happened to them:“ The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

“ You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.

If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life— to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that.

Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.”

“ Not everyone who says to me,‘ Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.On that day many will say to me,‘ Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’

But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings,

“ When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and finding none it says,‘ I will return to my house from which I came.’And when it comes, it finds the house swept and put in order.Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last state of that person is worse than the first.”

And he took up his discourse and said,“ The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor, the oracle of the man whose eye is opened,the oracle of him who hears the words of God, and knows the knowledge of the Most High, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down with his eyes uncovered:

John answered,“ A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven.

correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth,

Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,

See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no“ root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled;that no one is sexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal.For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears.

Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you.

while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Jesus then said to them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.

Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power.

Jesus answered her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you,‘ Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith—

Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!

But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us,

Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds.

and he took up his discourse and said,“ The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor, the oracle of the man whose eye is opened,

For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you—

If then God gave the same gift to them as he gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God’s way?”
