今爾已識天主、抑且為天主所識矣、何又返於支離瑣碎之蒙學、抱殘守缺、而甘為之奴乎？

吾人亦然、方吾人之尚屬幼稚、亦受制於世俗之蒙學；

永生不變；死於一時、而生於永古；掌握死亡及地獄之管籥者。

爾等既與基督同死、而已灑然脫於世俗之蒙學矣、乃何又鰓鰓遵循人為之禁令、一若尚生於世俗之中耶？

經中不載其父母世系、及生卒年歲、而稱之為永久之司祭者、蓋欲使為天主聖子之前影耳。

蓋律法所立之大司祭、皆屬荏弱之人；而後來誓言所立者、則為永生至善之聖子也。

惟耶穌則有生而無死、故其司祭職位、亦永世而弗替。因是凡賴彼而歸天主者、彼常能為其轉求、而拯救之也。

有經為證：『爾為司祭、永世靡替；與麥基德、同一班次。』

總之、律法僅為真福之前影、而非真福之實象。故雖歲一獻祭、亦無從使與祭者臻於純全之域也。

前幕乃現世之象徵也。凡現世所獻之禮品祭祀、皆不能使敬禮者之良心、臻於清明純粹之境界。蓋此等飲食盥滌之規、僅屬外表儀式、舊時所設、而有待乎革新者也。

慨然將吾人之罪狀一筆鈎銷、取而釘之於十字聖架、

經云：『主既立誓豈能悔、爾為司祭永無替。』此即天主向耶穌所立之誓也。
