這事使耶羅波安的家陷入罪裏，甚至他的家被剪除，從地面上消滅了。

你們當在基比亞吹角，在拉瑪吹號，在伯‧亞文發出警報；便雅憫哪，留意你的背後！

以色列啊，你雖然行淫，猶大卻不可犯罪；不要往吉甲去，不要上到伯‧亞文，也不要指着永生的耶和華起誓。

我把那使你們犯罪所鑄的牛犢拿來，用火焚燒，搗碎後再磨成粉末，好像灰塵。我把這灰塵撒在從山上流下來的溪水中。

神人遵照耶和華的話向壇呼叫，說：「壇哪，壇哪！耶和華如此說：『看哪，大衛家必生一個兒子，名叫約西亞，他必將在你上面燒香的丘壇祭司，宰殺在你上面，人的骨頭也必燒在你上面。』」

把祭司的骸骨燒在他們的壇上，潔淨了猶大和耶路撒冷。他又在瑪拿西、以法蓮、西緬、拿弗他利各城和四圍的廢墟，拆毀祭壇，把亞舍拉和雕刻的像打碎成灰，砍斷以色列全地所有的香壇。於是他回耶路撒冷去了。

這都是因雅各的罪過，因以色列家的罪惡。雅各的罪過在哪裏呢？豈不是在撒瑪利亞嗎？猶大的丘壇在哪裏呢？豈不是在耶路撒冷嗎？

這一切事都完畢以後，在那裏的以色列眾人就到猶大的城鎮，打碎柱像，砍斷亞舍拉，又在猶大、便雅憫、以法蓮、瑪拿西遍地把丘壇和祭壇完全拆毀。於是以色列眾人各回各城，各歸自己產業的地去了。

此外，在伯特利丘壇的壇，就是尼八的兒子耶羅波安所築、使以色列人陷入罪裏的，他也把這壇和丘壇都拆毀了，又焚燒丘壇，打碎成灰，並焚燒了亞舍拉。

以東的宮殿要長出荊棘，城堡要生長蒺藜和刺草；成為野狗的住處，鴕鳥的居所。

在各山頂獻祭，在各高岡上燒香，在橡樹、楊樹、大樹之下，因為那裏樹影美好。所以，你們的女兒行淫，你們的媳婦犯姦淫。

因耶羅波安所犯的罪，又因他使以色列陷入罪裏，耶和華必將以色列交出來。」

他們心懷二意，現今要定為有罪。耶和華必拆毀他們的祭壇，粉碎他們的柱像。

拉吉的居民哪，要用快馬套車；錫安的罪由你而起，以色列的罪過在你那裏顯出。

撒瑪利亞的居民必因伯‧亞文的牛犢驚恐；它的百姓為它悲哀，它的祭司為它戰兢，因為榮耀已經離開它。

在那些日子，人求死，卻死不了；想死，死卻避開他們。
