I shall ransom them from the power of Sheol; I shall redeem them from Death. O Death, where are your plagues? O Sheol, where is your sting? Compassion is hidden from my eyes.

“ I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. O Death, I will be your plagues! O Grave, I will be your destruction! Pity is hidden from My eyes.”

who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. (niv)

You have rejected me,” declares the Lord.“ You keep on backsliding. So I will reach out and destroy you; I am tired of holding back. (niv)

For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. (niv)

For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? (niv)
