Like a bear robbed of her cubs, I will attack them and rip them open; like a lion I will devour them— a wild animal will tear them apart.

I will attack them like a bear that is robbed of her cubs. I will rip them wide open. Like a lion I will eat them up. Like a wild animal I will tear them apart.

I will fall upon them like a bear robbed of her cubs; I will tear open their breast, and there I will devour them like a lion, as a wild beast would rip them open.

Not one will get away, none will escape.Though they dig down to the depths below, from there my hand will take them. Though they climb up to the heavens above, from there I will bring them down.Though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel, there I will hunt them down and seize them. Though they hide from my eyes at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent to bite them. (niv)

Boars from the forest ravage it, and insects from the fields feed on it. (niv)

Come, all you beasts of the field, come and devour, all you beasts of the forest! (niv)

Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool bent on folly. (niv)

Has not my inheritance become to me like a speckled bird of prey that other birds of prey surround and attack? Go and gather all the wild beasts; bring them to devour. (niv)

Their roar is like that of the lion, they roar like young lions; they growl as they seize their prey and carry it off with no one to rescue. (niv)
