Take words of repentance with you and return to the LORD. Say to him,“ Forgive all our iniquity and accept what is good, so that we may repay you with praise from our lips.

Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him,“ Take away all guilt And receive us graciously, So that we may present the fruit of our lips.

Take words with you, And return to the Lord. Say to Him,“ Take away all iniquity; Receive us graciously, For we will offer the sacrifices of our lips.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Why do you not pardon my disobedience, and take away my iniquity? For now will I lie down in the dust. You will seek me diligently, but I will not be.”

He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying,“ Take the filthy garments off him.” To him he said,“ Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.”

You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Pray like this:‘ Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.Give us today our daily bread.Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’

David’s heart struck him after he had counted the people. David said to Yahweh,“ I have sinned greatly in that which I have done. But now, Yahweh, put away, I beg you, the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.”

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity. Cleanse me from my sin.For I know my transgressions. My sin is constantly before me.Against you, and you only, I have sinned, and done that which is evil in your sight, so you may be proved right when you speak, and justified when you judge.Behold, I was born in iniquity. My mother conceived me in sin.Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.Let me hear joy and gladness, that the bones which you have broken may rejoice.Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all of my iniquities.Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.

“ For has any said to God,‘ I am guilty, but I will not offend any more.Teach me that which I don’t see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more’?

The son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’“ But the father said to his servants,‘ Bring out the best robe, and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand, and sandals on his feet.Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let’s eat, and celebrate;for this, my son, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.’ Then they began to celebrate.

He touched my mouth with it, and said,“ Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven.”

He said to them,“ When you pray, say,‘ Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.Give us day by day our daily bread.Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’”

The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said,“ Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

This is my covenant with them, when I will take away their sins.”

For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols.I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

You know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and no sin is in him.
