“ Say of your brothers,‘ My people,’ and of your sisters,‘ My loved one.’

“ People of Israel, call your brothers‘ My people.’ And call your sisters‘ My loved ones.’

Say to your brothers,“ You are my people,” and to your sisters,“ You have received mercy.”

“ In that day you will call your brothers Ammi—‘ My people.’ And you will call your sisters Ruhamah—‘ The ones I love.’

Call your brothers: My People and your sisters: Compassion.

Say to your brothers,“ Ammi,” and to your sisters,“ Ruhamah.”

Say to your brethren,‘ My people,’ And to your sisters,‘ Mercy is shown.’

Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.

Then you will call your brother,“ My People”( Ammi)! You will call your sister,“ Pity”( Ruhamah)!

I will plant her for myself in the land; I will show my love to the one I called‘ Not my loved one.’ I will say to those called‘ Not my people,’‘ You are my people’; and they will say,‘ You are my God.’” (niv)

My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people. (niv)

Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. (niv)

Then the Lord said,“ Call him Lo- Ammi( which means“ not my people”), for you are not my people, and I am not your God.“ Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. In the place where it was said to them,‘ You are not my people,’ they will be called‘ children of the living God.’The people of Judah and the people of Israel will come together; they will appoint one leader and will come up out of the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. (niv)

“ This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord.“ I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. (niv)

This third I will put into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say,‘ They are my people,’ and they will say,‘ The Lord is our God.’” (niv)

Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience,so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. (niv)

Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God. (niv)

Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. (niv)
