You stumble day and night, and the prophets stumble with you. So I will destroy your mother—

You trip and fall day and night. And the prophets fall down along with you. So I will destroy your nation. She is the one who gave birth to you.

You shall stumble by day; the prophet also shall stumble with you by night; and I will destroy your mother.

So you will stumble in broad daylight, and your false prophets will fall with you in the night. And I will destroy Israel, your mother.

但那在上面的耶路撒冷是自由女人；她是我們的母親。

一個月之內，我除滅了三個牧人。我的心對他們不耐煩，他們的心也憎嫌我。

然而，這百姓既不轉向擊打他們的那一位，也不尋求萬軍之耶和華。所以耶和華必在一日之內，從以色列中剪除頭和尾，剪除棕枝和蘆葦——長老和尊貴人就是頭，指教虛謊之事的先知就是尾。因為引導這百姓的使他們迷失，而被引導的都陷入混亂。因此，主不喜悅他們的青年人，也不憐憫他們的孤兒寡婦；因為他們都是不敬虔的，是作惡的，各人的口都說愚頑的話。即使如此，耶和華的怒氣還不轉消，他的手仍然伸出。

到那日，我必從這地剪除偶像的名號，它們就不再被人記念；我也必從這地除去假先知，除去汙穢的靈。

耶和華如此說：「我休你們母親的休書在哪裡呢？我把你們賣給了我哪一個債主呢？看哪！你們被賣是因你們的罪孽，你們的母親被休是因你們的過犯。
