那時，百姓怎樣，祭司也怎樣；僕人怎樣，主人也怎樣；婢女怎樣，主母也怎樣；購買的怎樣，販賣的也怎樣；借給人的怎樣，向人借的也怎樣；放債的怎樣，借債的也怎樣。

他喜愛詛咒人，詛咒就臨到他；他不喜歡祝福人，祝福就遠離他。他把詛咒當作衣袍穿上，所以詛咒像水那樣進到他裡面，像油那樣進到他的骨頭裡。

然而我吩咐我僕人眾先知的話語和律例，不都追上了你們的祖先嗎？於是他們回轉，說：萬軍之耶和華照著我們的道路和行為決意怎樣對待我們，他就怎樣對待了我們。』」

所以耶和華必在一日之內，從以色列中剪除頭和尾，剪除棕枝和蘆葦——長老和尊貴人就是頭，指教虛謊之事的先知就是尾。因為引導這百姓的使他們迷失，而被引導的都陷入混亂。

惡人被自己的罪孽捉住，被自己罪的繩索捆綁；

隨他們吧！他們是給瞎子領路的瞎子。如果瞎子給瞎子領路，兩個人都會掉進坑裡。」

你們要告訴義人，他們會一切平順，因為他們必吃自己行為所結的果實。
