伯沙撒王、肆筵設席、召有爵位者千人、咸赴王讌、與眾同飲、進酒時、命取金銀器皿、乃王之祖尼布甲尼撒得之於耶路撒冷上帝殿者、遂取之至、王公后妃以之飲酒、

耶羅破暗王、聞上帝之僕、叱咤伯特利之壇、則伸其手曰、當執之、所伸之手、即枯不能縮。

其人夙興、縱飲無度、迨至薄暮、更覺沉湎、若此必有禍患、飲宴之時、鼓琴彈瑟、播鼗吹蕭、耶和華之彰癉、彼不以為意、

清酒醇醪過飲、生侮慢、載號載呶、沉湎於酒、無智甚矣。

適希律誕、希羅底女舞於前、希律喜、

越三日、法老誕、賜宴群臣、召酒正膳長、使之出獄。

惡者之謀兮弗從、罪人之途兮弗蹤、侮慢之位不居兮、福祉來降。

人耽於酒、醞釀佳醴、為量甚大者、必有禍矣。人納賄賂、誣善而罪之、袒惡而釋之、禍不遠矣、

誰遭禍患、誰起爭競、誰搆怨尤、誰目赤身傷、出於無因、惟耽麯櫱、嘗旨否、調劑甚厚者則若是。勿以觀酒為樂、其色貴朱、入爵則沸、依法而流、不知其終、酒傷若蛇、其毒若蝮、既沈湎於酒、則目注淫婦、心思邪僻、其危也、若偃息海中、高枕桅上。勿自謂受擊而不傷、醉為無害、醒而再飲。

游民妄加誹譭、酒徒作歌譏剌兮。

與智人為友者、自生智慧、與愚人為侶者、必致敗亡。

斯邦之人、自祭司至先知、縱飲無度、沉湎於酒、至於跬步不能自主、雖目睹異象、而心志仍昏、雖為民折中、而剖決不明。哇吐盈几、無地清潔。

勿酗酒蕩檢、惟感以聖神、

會希律誕日、肆筵、宴諸大夫、千夫長、加利利尊者、

我生斯世、從異邦人之俗亦至矣、邪侈縱欲、沉湎、蕩檢、饕餮過度、及拜偶像、尤非所宜、彼見爾不蕩檢踰閑、與彼相同、則異而謗爾、
