I wrote for them the many things of my law, but they regarded them as something foreign.

In my law I wrote down many things for their good. But they considered those things as something strange.

Were I to write for him my laws by the ten thousands, they would be regarded as a strange thing.

Even though I gave them all my laws, they act as if those laws don’t apply to them.

Though I were to write out for him ten thousand points of my instruction, they would be regarded as something strange.

Though I wrote for him ten thousand precepts of My Law, They are regarded as a strange thing.

I have written for him the great things of My law, But they were considered a strange thing.

Though I were to write out for him ten thousand points of My instruction, they would be regarded as something strange.

I spelled out my law for him in great detail, but they regard it as something totally unknown to them!

my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.“ Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said,‘ We will not walk in it.’I appointed watchmen over you and said,‘ Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But you said,‘ We will not listen.’ (niv)

They rejected his decrees and the covenant he had made with their ancestors and the statutes he had warned them to keep. They followed worthless idols and themselves became worthless. They imitated the nations around them although the Lord had ordered them,“ Do not do as they do.”They forsook all the commands of the Lord their God and made for themselves two idols cast in the shape of calves, and an Asherah pole. They bowed down to all the starry hosts, and they worshiped Baal. (niv)

Have I not written thirty sayings for you, sayings of counsel and knowledge, (niv)

Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say,“ Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him?And what other nation is so great as to have such righteous decrees and laws as this body of laws I am setting before you today? (niv)

“ But they were disobedient and rebelled against you; they turned their backs on your law. They killed your prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to you; they committed awful blasphemies. (niv)

So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good. (niv)

He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel.He has done this for no other nation; they do not know his laws. Praise the Lord. (niv)

What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision? (niv)

“ You came down on Mount Sinai; you spoke to them from heaven. You gave them regulations and laws that are just and right, and decrees and commands that are good.You made known to them your holy Sabbath and gave them commands, decrees and laws through your servant Moses. (niv)

You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you. (niv)

I gave them my decrees and made known to them my laws, by which the person who obeys them will live. (niv)

For these are rebellious people, deceitful children, children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction. (niv)

Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law. (niv)
