He will delight in obeying the Lord. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay.

以敬畏主為悅、行審鞫不待目見、行判斷不待耳聞、

and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;

The Branch will take delight in respecting the Lord. He will not judge things only by the way they look. He won’t make decisions based simply on what people say.

And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear,

His delight will be in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, he will not execute justice by what he hears with his ears,

And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make decisions by what His ears hear;

His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;

And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

He will take delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by mere appearances, or make decisions on the basis of hearsay.

His delight will be in the fear of Yahweh. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears;

Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly.”

You judge me by human standards, but I do not judge anyone.And if I did, my judgment would be correct in every respect because I am not alone. The Father who sent me is with me.

But the Lord said to Samuel,“ Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.

Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?”

Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.

I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return.

Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.

When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.

The ear tests the words it hears just as the mouth distinguishes between foods.

Yes, my lord the king will give us peace of mind again.’ I know that you are like an angel of God in discerning good from evil. May the Lord your God be with you.”

When all Israel heard the king’s decision, the people were in awe of the king, for they saw the wisdom God had given him for rendering justice.

Job said,‘ The ear tests the words it hears just as the mouth distinguishes between foods.’

In that day he will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord will be your treasure.

No one needed to tell him about human nature, for he knew what was in each person’s heart.

As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I don’t even trust my own judgment on this point.My conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove I’m right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide.So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time— before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.
