Terror will seize them, pain and anguish will grip them; they will writhe like a woman in labor. They will look aghast at each other, their faces aflame.

The people will be filled with terror. Pain and suffering will grab hold of them. They will groan with pain like a woman having a baby. They’ll look at one another in terror. Their faces will burn with shame.

They will be dismayed: pangs and agony will seize them; they will be in anguish like a woman in labor. They will look aghast at one another; their faces will be aflame.

人正在说平安稳妥的时候，毁灭性的灾祸就突然临到他们，好像生产的痛苦临到怀胎的妇人一样，他们绝不能逃脱。

怀孕的妇人临产时怎样疼痛，在绞痛中喊叫；耶和华啊！我们在你面前也是这样。

现在却空虚、荒凉，一无所有；人心惊惶，两膝发抖，全身疼痛，面无血色。

因此，我满腰疼痛，痛苦抓住我，好像产妇的痛苦一样；我绞痛弯腰至听不见，我惊惶至看不到。我的心迷糊，惊恐威吓着我；我所爱慕的黄昏，竟使我战兢。

在他们面前，万民苦恼，人人脸红耳赤。

你们去问问，去看看：男人会生孩子吗？为什么我看见所有的壮汉，都用手抱着腹部，像正在生产的妇人，每张脸都变成苍白呢？

我听到好像妇人产痛的叫声，正像生头胎孩子的妇人疼痛的叫声，就是锡安居民（“居民”原文作“女子”）的声音，他们喘着气，伸开双手，说：“哎！我有祸了！在那些杀人者跟前，我发昏了！”

妇人生产的时候会有忧愁，因为她的时候到了；但生了孩子以后，就不再记住那痛苦了，因为欢喜有一个人生到世上来。

当时，忽然有人手的指头出现，在王宫里灯台对面的粉墙上写字；王看见了那只正在写字的手掌，就脸色大变，心意惊惶，两脚无力，双膝彼此相碰。

他们一见这城，就惊惶，慌忙逃跑。他们在那里战栗恐惧；他们痛苦好像妇人分娩时一样。

巴比伦王听了有关他们的消息，手就发软；痛苦紧紧抓住他，他疼痛好像正在生产的妇人。
