对你说，‘你如今也跟我们一样软弱无能。’

他們都要發言對你說：你也變為軟弱像我們一樣嗎？你也成了我們的樣子嗎？

他們都必應時對你說：「你也變為衰弱、像我們一樣啊！你也跟我們相似啊！」

僉謂爾曰、爾亦荏弱似我乎、爾與吾儕相若乎、

曰、爾豈如我之荏弱哉、

悉發言向爾曰、爾亦弱同我儕乎、爾與我儕相若乎、

They will all respond, they will say to you,“ You also have become weak, as we are; you have become like us.”

All of them call out to you. They say,‘ You have become weak, just as we are. You have become like us.’

All of them will answer and say to you:‘ You too have become as weak as we! You have become like us!’

With one voice they all cry out,‘ Now you are as weak as we are!

They all respond to you, saying,“ You too have become as weak as we are; you have become like us!

They will all respond and say to you,‘ Even you have become weak as we, You have become like us.

They all shall speak and say to you:‘ Have you also become as weak as we? Have you become like us?

All they shall answer and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

They all respond to you, saying:“ You too have become as weak as we are; you have become like us!

All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

All of them respond to you, saying:‘ You too have become weak like us! You have become just like us!

They all will answer and ask you,“ Have you also become as weak as we are? Have you become like us?”

我曾說：『你們是神，都是至高者的兒子。』然而你們要死去，像世人一樣；要仆倒，像任何一位首領。」

因為智慧人與愚昧人一樣，不會被永遠記念；在將要來的日子，一切都會被忘掉。為什麼智慧人像愚昧人一樣會死亡呢？

他們只是依靠財富、自誇多財的人。人實在不能救贖弟兄，也不能把他的贖價交給神，——因為靈魂的贖價昂貴，人只好永遠罷休——好使他永久存活，不看到陰坑。要知道，人必看見智慧人也會死；愚昧人和愚拙人一同滅亡，把他們的財富留給別人。他們以為自己的家必存到永遠，他們的住所必存到萬代；他們用自己的名字給土地命名。可是人在尊榮中不能持久，就像要滅亡的牲畜一樣。這就是那些愚昧之人的道路，也是他們之後那些喜悅他們話語之人的道路。細拉他們像註定下到陰間的羊群，死亡將作他們的牧者；到了清晨，正直人將管轄他們。他們的形體必被陰間吞噬，無處容身。

人在尊榮中卻沒有悟性，就像要滅亡的牲畜一樣。

又有一個窮人，名叫拉撒路，滿身膿瘡，被放在財主的門口，渴望得到財主桌子上掉下來的碎渣充飢，甚至有狗來舔他的瘡。後來那窮人死了，被天使們帶到亞伯拉罕的懷裡。接著，那財主也死了，並且被埋葬了。財主在陰間的痛苦中，舉目遠遠地望見亞伯拉罕，又望見拉撒路在他懷裡，
