There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah and asked,“ What did those men say, and where did they come from?”“ From a distant land,” Hezekiah replied.“ They came from Babylon.”The prophet asked,“ What did they see in your palace?”“ They saw everything in my palace,” Hezekiah said.“ There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them.”Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah,“ Hear the word of the Lord:The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your predecessors have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the Lord.And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”“ The word of the Lord you have spoken is good,” Hezekiah replied. For he thought,“ Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime?” (niv)

So this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic. (niv)

For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. (niv)

It was revoked on that day, and so the oppressed of the flock who were watching me knew it was the word of the Lord. (niv)

but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. (niv)

It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain. (niv)

So I shepherded the flock marked for slaughter, particularly the oppressed of the flock. Then I took two staffs and called one Favor and the other Union, and I shepherded the flock. (niv)
