Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.But you have planted wickedness, you have reaped evil, you have eaten the fruit of deception. Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ My servants will eat, but you will go hungry; my servants will drink, but you will go thirsty; my servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.My servants will sing out of the joy of their hearts, but you will cry out from anguish of heart and wail in brokenness of spirit. I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (niv)
