“到那日，雅各的荣耀必衰落，他肥胖的身体必消瘦。

“到那日，雅各的荣耀必衰微，他肥壮的身体必消瘦；

到那日，雅各的榮耀必至枵薄；他肥胖的身體必漸瘦弱。

到那日，雅各的榮美必失色，它肥胖的身軀漸漸消瘦；

“到那日，雅各的榮耀必衰落，他肥胖的身體必消瘦。

當那日子雅各的威榮必衰落，他皮肉的肥胖必消瘦。

「到那日，雅各的榮耀必衰微，他肥壯的身體必消瘦；

是日也、雅各之榮消減、豐腴之軀瘦瘠、

當是日雅各家肥健之人、變為瘦瘠、尊榮之輩、降為卑賤、

當是日雅各之榮華必減、其軀之豐腴必瘠、

“ In that day the glory of Jacob will fade; the fat of his body will waste away.

“ In days to come, the glory of Jacob’s people will fade. Their strength will get weaker and weaker.

And in that day the glory of Jacob will be brought low, and the fat of his flesh will grow lean.

“ In that day Israel’s glory will grow dim; its robust body will waste away.

On that day the splendor of Jacob will fade, and his healthy body will become emaciated.

“ In that day it shall come to pass That the glory of Jacob will wane, And the fatness of his flesh grow lean.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

On that day the splendor of Jacob will fade, and his healthy body will become emaciated.

And in that day it shall come to pass,[ that] the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

“ At that time Jacob’s splendor will be greatly diminished, and he will become skin and bones.

“ It will happen in that day that the glory of Jacob will be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh will become lean.

因此，主万军之耶和华必打发令人消瘦的病临到亚述王肥壮的军人中间，在他的荣耀之下必燃起火焰，如同火烧一样。

但耶书仑肥胖了，就踢跳，‘你肥胖了，你粗壮了，你饱满了，’他离弃了造他的神，轻看了救他的磐石。他们以外族人的神激动了神的愤恨，以可憎之事惹起了他的怒气。他们献祭给鬼魔（他们不是神），就是他们从来不认识的神，是近来新兴的，是你们的列祖所不惧怕的。你轻忽了生你的磐石，你忘记了产你的神。因为他的儿女激怒了神，耶和华看见了，就弃绝了他们，说：‘我必掩面不顾他们，要看看他们的结局怎样；因为他们是乖曲的一代，心里没有信实的人。他们以不是神的神激动了我的愤恨，以虚无之物惹动了我的怒气；我也以不是子民的人激动他们的愤恨，以愚昧的国民惹动他们的怒气。因为在我的怒中有火燃烧起来，烧到阴间的深处，把大地和地的出产尽都吞灭，连山的根基也烧着了。我要把灾祸加在他们身上，把我的箭向他们射尽。他们必因饥荒消瘦，被热病和毒症消灭；我也要打发野兽用牙齿咬他们，和土中的蛇类用毒液害他们。外有刀剑，内有惊恐，使人丧亡，使少男少女，婴孩和白发老人，尽都丧亡。我原想：“我要把他们分散到各处，把他们的名号都从人间除灭。”但我惧怕仇人激动我，恐怕敌人误会了，又恐怕他们说：“是我们的手高举了，并不是耶和华作了这一切事。”’

在地上的万民，都像摇过的橄榄树，又像被摘取完了的葡萄树，剩下无几。

对于他们，耶和华是可畏惧的，因为他要消灭地上一切神祇；那时，列国海岛上的居民，都各在自己的地方敬拜他。

你们只能屈身在被掳的人中间，或是仆倒在被杀的人中间。虽然这样，耶和华的怒气还没有转消，他的手仍然伸出。

主发出一个信息攻击雅各家，信息落在以色列家。

我们听见从地极有歌声唱着：“荣耀归于义人。”我却说：“我消瘦了，我消瘦了！我有祸了！诡诈的仍在行诡诈，诡诈的仍在大行诡诈。”

玛拿西吞吃以法莲，以法莲吞吃玛拿西，又一起攻击犹大。虽然这样，耶和华的怒气还没有转消，他的手仍然伸出。

“‘因此，主耶和华对它们这样说：看哪！我必亲自在肥羊与瘦羊之间施行审判。
