古实河外，船只彼此碰撞，响声四起之地，有祸了！

祸哉！库实河流对岸，翅膀嗡嗡作响之地！

唉！古實河外翅膀刷刷響聲之地，

禍哉！古實河的那一邊、翅膀刷刷作響之地，

禍哉！古實河的那一邊、翅膀刷刷作響之地，

古實河那邊、翅膀刷刷作響之地有禍了！

古實河外，船隻彼此碰撞，響聲四起之地，有禍了！

啊，古實河外飛蝗翅膀刷刷響之地，

禍哉！庫實河流對岸，翅膀嗡嗡作響之地！

噫、古實河外、鼓翼薨薨之地、

古實河外、左翼右翼之軍、器械錚鏦矣、吾有言告爾、

Woe to the land of whirring wings along the rivers of Cush,

How terrible it will be for the land whose armies are like large numbers of flying insects! That land is along the rivers of Cush.

Ah, land of whirring wings that is beyond the rivers of Cush,

Listen, Ethiopia— land of fluttering sails that lies at the headwaters of the Nile,

Woe to the land of buzzing insect wings beyond the rivers of Cush,

Woe, land of whirring wings Which lies beyond the rivers of Cush,

Woe to the land shadowed with buzzing wings, Which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia,

Ah, the land of the rustling of wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia;

Ah! The land of buzzing insect wings beyond the rivers of Cush

The land of buzzing wings is as good as dead, the one beyond the rivers of Cush,

Ah, the land of the rustling of wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia;

From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants,[ even] the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.

Ye Ethiopians also, ye[ shall be] slain by my sword.

And when he heard say of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, Behold, he is come out to fight against thee: he sent messengers again unto Hezekiah, saying,

And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.

And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years[ for] a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with[ their] buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such[ is] our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape?

That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt[ your] confusion.

Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until[ these] calamities be overpast.

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because[ they are] many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,[ thou] that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under[ her] wings, and ye would not!

Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth[ shall be thy] shield and buckler.

How excellent[ is] thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.

I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.
