In that day,’ says the Lord of hosts,‘ the peg that is fastened in the secure place will be removed and be cut down and fall, and the burden that was on it will be cut off; for the Lord has spoken.’”

万军之耶和华宣告：“到那日，那钉在牢固地方的橛子必松脱、被砍断坠落，挂在其上的负载也必被除掉！”这是耶和华说的。

萬軍之永恆主發神諭說：『當那日子、那釘在穩固之處的木橛子必支持不住而彎垂下來；它必被砍斷而墮落地；那掛在上頭的擔子必被剪斷；因為這是永恆主說的。』

萬軍之耶和華宣告：「到那日，那釘在牢固地方的橛子必鬆脫、被砍斷墜落，掛在其上的負載也必被除掉！」這是耶和華說的。

萬軍之耶和華曰、是日也、釘於堅處之釘不牢、被擊而墜、懸於其上者見絕、耶和華言之矣、

萬有之主耶和華曰、維爾設拿、雖釘釘於柱、亦必不堅、所懸之物必墮、我耶和華已言之矣。

萬有之主曰、當是日釘於堅固處之釘必除、見折而墮、懸於其上之物、悉必毀折、蓋主言之矣、

“ In that day,” declares the Lord Almighty,“ the peg driven into the firm place will give way; it will be sheared off and will fall, and the load hanging on it will be cut down.” The Lord has spoken.

“‘ But a new day is coming,’ ” announces the Lord who rules over all.“‘ At that time the peg that was driven into the wall will give way. It will break off and fall down. And the heavy load hanging on it will also fall.’ ” The Lord has spoken.

But the Lord of Heaven’s Armies also says:“ The time will come when I will pull out the nail that seemed so firm. It will come out and fall to the ground. Everything it supports will fall with it. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

On that day”— the declaration of the LORD of Armies—“ the peg that was driven into a firm place will give way, be cut off, and fall, and the load on it will be destroyed.” Indeed, the LORD has spoken.

On that day,” declares the Lord of armies,“ the peg driven into a firm place will give way; it will even break off and fall, and the load that is hanging on it will be cut off, for the Lord has spoken.”

In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, shall the nail that was fastened in a sure place give way; and it shall be hewn down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off; for Jehovah hath spoken it.

But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, And no one shall make them afraid; For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken.

Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it.

because Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to annihilate them, and had cast Pur( that is, the lot), to consume them and destroy them;but when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letter that this wicked plot which Haman had devised against the Jews should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

I will fasten him as a peg in a secure place, And he will become a glorious throne to his father’s house.

God shall likewise destroy you forever; He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah

Thus the Jews defeated all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, with slaughter and destruction, and did what they pleased with those who hated them.And in Shushan the citadel the Jews killed and destroyed five hundred men.Also Parshandatha, Dalphon, Aspatha,Poratha, Adalia, Aridatha,Parmashta, Arisai, Aridai, and Vajezatha—the ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews— they killed; but they did not lay a hand on the plunder.On that day the number of those who were killed in Shushan the citadel was brought to the king.And the king said to Queen Esther,“ The Jews have killed and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the citadel, and the ten sons of Haman. What have they done in the rest of the king’s provinces? Now what is your petition? It shall be granted to you. Or what is your further request? It shall be done.”Then Esther said,“ If it pleases the king, let it be granted to the Jews who are in Shushan to do again tomorrow according to today’s decree, and let Haman’s ten sons be hanged on the gallows.”So the king commanded this to be done; the decree was issued in Shushan, and they hanged Haman’s ten sons.

For this shall the earth mourn, And the heavens above be black, Because I have spoken. I have purposed and will not relent, Nor will I turn back from it.

Thus says the Lord:“ Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord.For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited.

Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

So I will send against you famine and wild beasts, and they will bereave you. Pestilence and blood shall pass through you, and I will bring the sword against you. I, the Lord, have spoken.’”

I, even I, have spoken; Yes, I have called him, I have brought him, and his way will prosper.

Thus says the Lord GOD of hosts:“ Go, proceed to this steward, To Shebna, who is over the house, and say:‘ What have you here, and whom have you here, That you have hewn a sepulcher here, As he who hews himself a sepulcher on high, Who carves a tomb for himself in a rock?
