萬有之主耶和華已定命焉、變榮為辱、降尊為卑、

萬有之主命此、以辱一切榮華、降卑世之貴顯、

The Lord Almighty planned it, to bring down her pride in all her splendor and to humble all who are renowned on the earth.

The Lord who rules over all planned to do it. He wanted to bring down all its pride and glory. He wanted to shame those who were honored all over the earth.

The Lord of hosts has purposed it, to defile the pompous pride of all glory, to dishonor all the honored of the earth.

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has done it to destroy your pride and bring low all earth’s nobility.

The LORD of Armies planned it, to desecrate all its glorious beauty, to disgrace all the honored ones of the earth.

The Lord of armies has planned it, to defile the pride of all beauty, To despise all the honored of the earth.

The Lord of hosts has purposed it, To bring to dishonor the pride of all glory, To bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

Jehovah of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

The Lord of Hosts planned it, to desecrate all its glorious beauty, to disgrace all the honored ones of the earth.

我必懲罰這罪惡的世界，懲治邪惡的世人，制止驕橫之人的狂妄，壓下殘暴之徒的驕傲。

發洩你滿腔的怒火，鑒察驕傲者，貶抑他；鑒察驕傲者，制伏他，將惡人原地踐踏；

到那日，狂妄的人將被挫敗，驕傲的人將遭貶抑；唯獨耶和華將受尊崇。

現在我尼布甲尼撒頌讚、尊崇、敬奉天上的王，因為祂的作為公正，祂行事公平，能夠貶抑行為驕傲的人。」

弟兄姊妹，想想你們蒙召時的情形。按人的標準來衡量，你們當中稱得上有智慧的不多，有能力的不多，出身名門望族的也不多。但上帝揀選了世人看為愚昧的，要使智者羞愧；上帝揀選了世上軟弱的，要使強者蒙羞；上帝揀選了世上卑賤的、被藐視的和無足輕重的，要使世人看為舉足輕重的變得無足輕重。這樣，誰都不能在上帝面前自誇了。

祂使權貴倍受羞辱，祂除掉強者的權勢。

萬軍之耶和華定了計劃，誰能阻撓呢？祂的手已經伸出，誰能叫祂收回呢？

所以，我的子民必因無知而被擄。他們的貴族無餅充饑，民眾無水解渴。

祂使貴族蒙羞受辱，漂流在荒蕪之地。

到那日，狂妄的人必被挫敗，驕傲的人必遭貶抑，唯獨耶和華受尊崇。

萬軍之耶和華起誓說：「我的計劃必實現，我的旨意必成就。

這是上帝萬世以前在我們主基督耶穌裡定好的計劃。

我從太初就預言末後的事，從亙古就宣佈將來的事。我的旨意必成就，我的計劃必實現。我從東方召來鷙鳥，從遙遠的地方召人來成就我的計劃。我言出必行，必成就自己的計劃。

然而他們所做的只不過是你憑自己的能力和旨意所預定的。

世人遭貶，降為卑下，狂妄者眼目低垂。唯有萬軍之耶和華因祂的公正而受尊崇，聖潔的上帝藉公義彰顯自己的聖潔。

我們也在基督裡被揀選成為祂的子民。這都是按自己旨意行萬事的上帝預先定下的計劃，

頭是指他們的長老和首領，尾是指教人虛謊之事的假先知。

但上帝賜給我們更大的恩典，所以聖經上說：「上帝阻擋驕傲的人，恩待謙卑的人。」

看啊，主——萬軍之耶和華要以大能削去樹枝。高大的樹必被斬斷，挺拔的大樹必被砍倒，

你們大喊，『耶和華的刀啊，你何時才停下來呢？求你入鞘吧！停下來吧！』但耶和華已命令它攻擊亞實基倫和沿海一帶，它怎能停下來呢？」

並且要說，『耶和華啊！你曾說要毀滅這地方，使這裡人獸絕跡、永遠荒涼。』

「萬軍之耶和華說，『那日要來臨了，就像燒紅的火爐，所有狂妄自大、作惡多端的人都要像碎稭一樣被火燒盡，連根帶枝，蕩然無存。
