Once more the humble will rejoice in the Lord; the needy will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

Those who aren’t proud will once again find their joy in the Lord. And those who are in need will find their joy in the Holy One of Israel.

The meek shall obtain fresh joy in the Lord, and the poor among mankind shall exult in the Holy One of Israel.

The humble will be filled with fresh joy from the Lord. The poor will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

The humble will have joy after joy in the LORD, and the poor people will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

The afflicted also will increase their joy in the Lord, And the needy of mankind will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord, And the poor among men shall rejoice In the Holy One of Israel.

The meek also shall increase their joy in Jehovah, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, (niv)

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (niv)

The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. (niv)

He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. (niv)

Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. (niv)

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. (niv)

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (niv)

But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity. (niv)

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (niv)

I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. (niv)

For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. (niv)

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.Such“ wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. “ Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the Lord.“ I will protect them from those who malign them.” (niv)

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. (niv)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (niv)

What answer shall be given to the envoys of that nation?“ The Lord has established Zion, and in her his afflicted people will find refuge.” (niv)

Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. (niv)

The poorest of the poor will find pasture, and the needy will lie down in safety. But your root I will destroy by famine; it will slay your survivors. (niv)

Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, you who do what he commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord’s anger. (niv)

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things— and the things that are not— to nullify the things that are,so that no one may boast before him. Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. (niv)

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,then make my joy complete by being like- minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, (niv)

But I will leave within you the meek and humble. The remnant of Israel will trust in the name of the Lord.They will do no wrong; they will tell no lies.
