百姓要彼此欺压；各人受邻舍的欺压。少年人必侮慢老年人；卑贱人必侮慢尊贵人。

People will oppress each other— man against man, neighbor against neighbor. The young will rise up against the old, the nobody against the honored.

People will treat one another badly. They will fight against one another. They will fight against their neighbors. Young people will attack old people. Ordinary people will attack those who are more important.

And the people will oppress one another, every one his fellow and every one his neighbor; the youth will be insolent to the elder, and the despised to the honorable.

People will oppress each other— man against man, neighbor against neighbor. Young people will insult their elders, and vulgar people will sneer at the honorable.

The people will oppress one another, man against man, neighbor against neighbor; the young will act arrogantly toward the old, and the worthless toward the honorable.

And the people will be oppressed, Each one by another, and each one by his neighbor; The youth will assault the elder, And the contemptible person will assault the one honored.

耶和華曰、彼民逞舌妄言、若援弓發矢、言雖不誠、偏能得志、作惡無已、不識我道。當謹防鄰里、勿信兄弟、蓋兄弟相欺、鄰里譭謗、各相欺誑、不言真實、舌出誑詞、孳孳為惡。耶和華告耶利米曰、爾之鄰里詭譎、不識我耶和華之道。萬有之主耶和華又曰、我將何以處我民、必煆煉之而後可。鼓舌欺人、勝於毒矢、口言平康、心謀殘害、

受賄以殺人、取利追索、棄我耶和華。

眾唾其面、拳擊之、有手批之者、

我曰、雅各之長者、以色列族之士師、宜聽我言、聽訟之理、非爾所當知乎、惟爾惡善好惡、剝人之皮、刳人之肉、惟餘骨骸、爾去我民之皮、而噬其肉、折其骨割之為臠、投之鼎鑊、

或唾耶穌、掩其面、拳擊之曰、試言擊爾者誰、諸僕亦手批之、○

長於作惡、牧伯士師、俱索賄賂、大人所謀不軌、黨同為非、彼所為善者、等諸蒺藜、彼所為義者、同於荊棘、先知所言之災、其日伊邇、庶民潰亂、謹防鄰里、勿信友朋、對眷愛之妻、勿言機密之事、子欺父、女爭母、媳逆姑、則門內之人、等諸仇敵矣、

長者聽訟、為納苞苴、祭司訓民、惟望賞賚、先知圖利、而言未來事、然眾恃耶和華自謂耶和華左右我、必不遘災、

我萬有之主耶和華曰、當秉公義、矜憫為懷、相待以仁、孤寡賓旅貧乏、俱勿虐遇、友朋之間、勿相謀害、惟彼不從、強項難馴、掩耳不聽、

天下事可長太息者、我嘗見之矣、長者所行不善、使愚者坐高位、智者居末座、

穫爾田之傭、不給其值、則籲呼升聞於萬有之主、

以色列牧伯、居於爾中、竭力殺人、斯邑之人、藐視父母、凌侮旅人、強暴孤寡。

萬有之主耶和華曰、我必涖臨、降災於爾、凡巫覡行淫之子、妄誓之輩、奪傭人之值、虐遇孤寡、使賓旅不得伸其枉屈、而不敬畏我者、必速降以罰。

見斑白者當起、敬耆老、畏爾上帝、我耶和華所命如此。

爾居撒馬利亞山、若巴山之牛、虐遇貧窮、挾制困乏、索酒縱飲者、今聽我言、

以利沙離耶利歌往伯特利、行於途間、有孺子自城而出、戲之曰、頭童者、爾亦能上昇歟。如此者再。

何以爾反辱貧者乎、富者非挾制爾、拘曳爾、以至公庭乎、

萬有之主耶和華震怒、燬其國民、有若蒭蕘、焚之務盡、雖兄弟不相顧、左吞右噬、猶不厭足、而自嚙其臂、馬拿西攻以法蓮以法蓮攻馬拿西、二族兼攻猶大、上帝之忿怒猶未息、降罰猶未已也。

褫其衣、衣以絳袍、編棘冕、冠其首、置葦於右手、戲跪其前曰、猶太人之王安、唾之、取葦擊其首、

當時以法蓮猶大二國、不相仇、不搆怨、

越至於今、年少於我者、反加訕笑、彼之父兄、自我視之、比之守羊之犬、不若也。彼若老邁、氣力已衰、不能助我。因饑饉匱乏、不勝顦顇、適荒野而求食、或刈藜藿於草叢、或取茢菼之根為食。見逐於人、人呼其後、若叱寇賊。所居險阻湫溢、窟穴磐巖、呼號於林中、咸集於荊下。愚蠢側陋之子、無俾居於樂土。斯人作歌、托詞以譏刺、厭棄我躬、唾我面而弗我惜、不自檢束、無所不為、以困苦加諸我。是直妄人也、立我之右、顛躓我足、彼害及我、猶敵築壘以攻。

我耶和華為以色列族之聖主、斯民侮予、棄予逆予、風俗澆漓、陷於罪戾、入於邪僻、豈不哀哉。

惟爾縱心目之欲、貪婪不已、強據虐遇、而殺無辜。

掩其面、批而問曰、試言擊爾者誰、

大闢王至巴戶林、有掃羅族、其喇子示每出、且行且詛、石擊大闢、及王左右臣僕、民眾武士。示每詛曰、汝乃殘忍之子、行惡之人、速去勿遲。爾戮掃羅全家、移其國祚、今耶和華已報其仇、以爾國位、與子押沙龍、惟爾殘忍、自取咎戾。西魯雅子亞庇篩告王曰、彼猶已斃之犬、詛我主我王、曷故、我請往斬其首。
