人往埃及、求其助己、見車馬眾多、驍騎勇猛、則以之是恃、不恃以色列族之聖主耶和華而求其眷祐、其禍必不遠矣、

下伊及求助、倚賴戰馬、因車乘眾多而恃之、馬卒甚強而賴之、不仰望以色列之聖主、不祈求主、是人也、禍哉禍哉、

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord.

How terrible it will be for those who go down to Egypt for help! How terrible for those who depend on horses! They trust in how many chariots they have. They trust in how strong their horsemen are. But they don’t look to the Holy One of Israel. They don’t ask the Lord for his help.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many and in horsemen because they are very strong, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult the Lord!

What sorrow awaits those who look to Egypt for help, trusting their horses, chariots, and charioteers and depending on the strength of human armies instead of looking to the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

Those who go down to Egypt for help are as good as dead, those who rely on war horses, and trust in Egypt’s many chariots and in their many, many horsemen. But they do not rely on the Holy One of Israel and do not seek help from the LORD.

有人靠战车，有人靠战马，但我们靠的是我们的上帝耶和华的名。

王不可拥有大量马匹，也不可派人到埃及去购买马匹，因为耶和华已经告诉你们不可回埃及。

你们说，‘不，我们要骑马奔逃。’所以你们必奔逃。你们又说，‘我们要骑快马逃跑。’所以追赶你们的人必疾驰如飞。

耶和华说：“信靠世人、倚靠血肉之躯、背叛耶和华的人该受咒诅！

因为我的子民犯了两项罪，他们离弃了我这活水源泉，为自己挖了不能蓄水的破池子。

看啊，你所倚靠的埃及不过是一根破裂的芦苇，倚靠它的必被刺破手。倚靠埃及王法老的下场都是这样。’

耶和华对以色列家说：“你们要寻求我，才能存活。不要去伯特利求问，不要进入吉甲，也不要前往别示巴，因为吉甲人必被掳去，伯特利也必化为乌有。”你们要寻求耶和华，才能存活。否则，祂要在约瑟家如烈火爆发，吞噬伯特利，无人能扑灭。你们这些使正义变为苦艾、将公义丢弃在地的人啊，那位造昴星和参星，使幽暗变为黎明，使白昼变为黑夜，召来海水浇在大地上的——祂的名字是耶和华。

君王不能靠兵多取胜，勇士不能凭力大获救。靠战马取胜实属妄想，马虽力大也不能救人。

这一切灾祸降在了我们身上，正如摩西律法书的记载。然而，我们的上帝耶和华啊，我们却没有离开罪恶，认识你的真理，以便恳求你施恩。

你们即使依靠埃及的战车和骑兵，又怎能打败我主人的一个最小的将领呢？

后来，犹大王背叛了巴比伦王，派使者到埃及请求支援军队马匹。他能成功吗？他这样做怎能逃脱惩罚呢？他这样背约怎能逃脱惩罚呢？

耶和华说：“我悖逆的儿女有祸了！他们不遵行我的旨意，按自己的计划行事；未经我同意，擅自与人结盟，不断犯罪。他们不求问我便去埃及，想得到法老的保护和荫庇。然而，法老的保护和荫庇必成为他们的耻辱。虽然他们的官长和使臣已到琐安和哈内斯，但他们必蒙羞，因为埃及人对他们毫无用处，没有任何帮助和益处，带给他们的只有羞愧和耻辱。”以下是关于南地动物的预言：他们的使臣用驴驮着财物，用骆驼驮着珍宝，穿过公狮、母狮、蝮蛇和飞蛇出没的艰险之地，前往一个对他们毫无用处的国家。埃及的帮助是徒然的，所以我称她为“没用的海怪”。

那时，哈拿尼先见晋见犹大王亚撒说：“因为你不倚靠你的上帝耶和华，反而倚靠亚兰王，所以亚兰王的军队已经从你手中逃脱。

我们不再向亚述求救，不再依靠战马，也不再称自己所造的神像为我们的上帝。耶和华啊，只有在你那里，孤儿才能得到怜悯。”

又在两道城墙之间建造新的蓄水池，用来盛旧池的水。耶和华从古时已定了这一切，要使这一切发生，但你们既不仰望祂，也不理会祂。

到那日，人们必仰望他们的创造主，向以色列的圣者求助。那时他们不再仰望自己制造的祭坛，也不再供奉自己指头所造的亚舍拉神像和香坛。

席上，他们在琴、瑟、鼓、笛声中饮酒作乐，却毫不理会耶和华的作为。

无人呼求你，无人向你求助，因为你掩面不理我们，让我们在自己的罪中灭亡。

他们像炙热的烤炉，吞灭他们的首领。他们的君王都倒地而亡，没有一个向我求救。

他们有祸了，因为他们背弃我！他们要被毁灭了，因为他们背叛我！我要救赎他们，他们却向我撒谎。他们没有真心呼求我，只是在床上哭号。他们为求五谷和新酒而割伤自己，却背弃了我。我训练他们，使他们臂膀强壮，他们却阴谋作恶抗拒我。他们回转，却不肯转向至高者，他们就像无用的断弓。他们的首领要因出言狂妄而丧身刀下，成为埃及人的笑柄。

他们境内金银遍地，财宝无穷；他们境内马匹充裕，战车无数。

你们带着橄榄油和许多香料去拜假神，差遣使者到远方，甚至去阴间寻找神明。
