有禍啊！那些下埃及去求幫助的！他們依靠馬匹，倚賴車輛，因為很多；他們倚賴馬兵，因為馬兵極強壯，他們卻不仰望以色列之聖者，永恆主、他們竟不求問！

禍哉！那些下埃及求幫助的人！他們依仗馬匹，依靠戰車眾多、馬兵強大，卻不仰望以色列的聖者，也不尋求耶和華。

彼往埃及求助、恃其車馬之眾、驍騎之強、不仰望以色列之聖者、不尋求耶和華、禍哉其人、

人往埃及、求其助己、見車馬眾多、驍騎勇猛、則以之是恃、不恃以色列族之聖主耶和華而求其眷祐、其禍必不遠矣、

下伊及求助、倚賴戰馬、因車乘眾多而恃之、馬卒甚強而賴之、不仰望以色列之聖主、不祈求主、是人也、禍哉禍哉、

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord.

How terrible it will be for those who go down to Egypt for help! How terrible for those who depend on horses! They trust in how many chariots they have. They trust in how strong their horsemen are. But they don’t look to the Holy One of Israel. They don’t ask the Lord for his help.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many and in horsemen because they are very strong, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult the Lord!

What sorrow awaits those who look to Egypt for help, trusting their horses, chariots, and charioteers and depending on the strength of human armies instead of looking to the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and who depend on horses! They trust in the abundance of chariots and in the large number of horsemen. They do not look to the Holy One of Israel, and they do not seek the LORD.

Those who go down to Egypt for help are as good as dead, those who rely on war horses, and trust in Egypt’s many chariots and in their many, many horsemen. But they do not rely on the Holy One of Israel and do not seek help from the LORD.

有人靠車，有人靠馬，但我們要提耶和華－我們上帝的名。

只是王不可為自己加添馬匹，也不可為加添馬匹使百姓回埃及去，因耶和華曾對你們說：『不可再回那條路去。』

你們說：「不然，我們要騎馬奔走」，所以你們必然奔走。你們又說：「我們要騎快馬」，所以追趕你們的，也必飛快。

耶和華如此說：「倚靠人，以血肉為膀臂，心中離棄耶和華的，那人該受詛咒！

因為我的百姓做了兩件惡事：離棄我這活水的泉源；又為自己鑿出水池，卻是破裂不能儲水的池子。」

看哪，你所倚靠的埃及是那斷裂的葦杖，人若倚靠這杖，它就刺進他的手，穿透它。埃及王法老向所有倚靠他的人都是這樣。

耶和華向以色列家如此說：「你們要尋求我，就必存活。不要往伯特利尋求，不要進入吉甲，也不要過到別是巴；因為吉甲必被擄走，伯特利必歸無有。」要尋求耶和華，就必存活，免得他在約瑟家如火發出，焚燒伯特利，無人撲滅。你們這使公平變為茵蔯，將公義丟棄於地的人哪！那造昴星和參星，使死蔭變為晨光，使白晝變為黑夜，召喚海水、使其傾倒在地面上的，耶和華是他的名。

君王不能因兵多得勝，勇士不能因力大得救。靠馬得救是枉然的，馬也不能因力大救人。

這一切災禍臨到我們，是照摩西律法上所寫的，我們卻沒有求耶和華－我們上帝的恩惠，使我們回轉離開罪孽，明白你的真理。

若不然，怎能使我主臣僕中最小的一個軍官轉臉而逃呢？你難道要倚靠埃及的戰車和騎兵嗎？

這百姓還沒有歸向擊打他們的主，也沒有尋求萬軍之耶和華。

他卻背叛巴比倫王，差派使者前往埃及，要求埃及人給他馬匹和許多人。他豈能亨通呢？這樣做的人豈能逃脫呢？他背了約豈能逃脫呢？

耶和華說：「禍哉！這悖逆的兒女。他們同謀，卻不出於我，結盟，卻不出於我的靈，以致罪上加罪。他們沒有尋求我的指示，就起身下埃及去，要倚靠法老的庇護堅固自己，並投在埃及的蔭下。但法老的庇護反成為你們的羞辱；你們投在埃及蔭下，反使你們慚愧。他們的領袖已在瑣安，他們的使臣到了哈內斯。他們必因那無益於他們的民蒙羞；那民並非幫助，也非有益，只帶來羞恥和凌辱。」論尼革夫牲畜的默示。他們將財物馱在驢背上，將寶物馱在駱駝的背脊，經過艱難困苦之地，就是母獅、公獅、毒蛇、飛蛇之地，往那無益於他們的民那裏去。埃及的幫助是徒然的，因此，我稱它為「毫不中用的拉哈伯」。

那時，哈拿尼先見來見猶大王亞撒，對他說：「因你仰賴亞蘭王，沒有仰賴耶和華－你的上帝，所以亞蘭王的軍兵逃脫了你的手。

亞述不能救我們，我們不再騎馬，也不再對我們手所造的偶像說：『你是我們的上帝』；孤兒在你那裏得蒙憐憫。」

又在兩道城牆中間挖水池，用以盛舊池的水，卻不仰望成就這事的主，也不顧念從古時定這事的主。

當那日，人必仰望造他們的主，眼目看着以色列的聖者。他們必不仰望自己手所築的祭壇，也不理會自己指頭所造的亞舍拉和香壇。

他們在宴席上彈琴，鼓瑟，擊鼓，吹笛，飲酒，卻不留意耶和華的作為，也不留心他手所做的。

無人求告你的名，無人奮力抓住你。你轉臉不顧我們，你使我們因罪孽而融化。

他們全都熱如火爐，吞滅他們的審判官。他們的君王都仆倒，他們中間無一人求告我。

他們因離棄我，必定有禍；因違背我，必遭毀滅。我雖想要救贖他們，他們卻向我說謊。他們在床上呼號，卻不誠心哀求我；他們為求五穀新酒而聚集，卻背叛我。我雖管教他們，堅固他們的膀臂，他們卻圖謀邪惡抗拒我。他們歸向，但不是歸向至上者；終究必如鬆弛的弓。他們的領袖必因舌頭的狂傲倒在刀下，這在埃及地必成為人的笑柄。

他們的國滿了金銀，財寶也無窮；他們的地滿了馬匹，戰車也無數。

你帶了油到摩洛那裏，加上許多香水。你派遣使者往遠方去，甚至降到陰間，

他們不必返回埃及地；然而亞述人要作他們的王，因他們不肯歸向我。
