He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

He will be the firm foundation for their entire lives. He will give them all the wisdom, knowledge and saving power they will ever need. Respect for the Lord is the key to that treasure.

for bodily training is just slightly beneficial, but godliness is beneficial for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom should I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom should I dread?When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.

The fear of the Lord leads to life, So that one may sleep satisfied, untouched by evil.

Praise the Lord! Blessed is a person who fears the Lord, Who greatly delights in His commandments.His descendants will be mighty on the earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make decisions by what His ears hear;But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the humble of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.Also righteousness will be the belt around His hips, And faithfulness the belt around His waist.

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, By which one may avoid the snares of death.

By wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established;And by knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.A wise man is strong, And a person of knowledge increases power.For by wise guidance you will wage war, And in an abundance of counselors there is victory.Wisdom is too exalted for a fool, He does not open his mouth at the gate.

Wisdom strengthens a wise person more than ten rulers who are in a city.

But King Hezekiah and Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, prayed about this and called out to heaven for help.And the Lord sent an angel who destroyed every warrior, commander, and officer in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned in shame to his own land. And when he had entered the temple of his god, some of his own sons killed him there with the sword.

But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.

For wisdom is protection just as money is protection, But the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom keeps its possessors alive.

“ Go and say to Hezekiah,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of your father David says:“ I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.And I will save you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will protect this city.” ’

Like a roaring lion and a rushing bear Is a wicked ruler over a poor people.A leader who is a great oppressor lacks understanding, But a person who hates unjust gain will prolong his days.

Raise your eyes to the sky, Then look to the earth beneath; For the sky will vanish like smoke, And the earth will wear out like a garment And its inhabitants will die in the same way. But My salvation will be forever, And My righteousness will not fail.

And in Your majesty ride on victoriously, For the cause of truth, humility, and righteousness; Let Your right hand teach You awesome things.

The Lord is their strength, And He is a refuge of salvation to His anointed.

Better is a little with the fear of the Lord Than great treasure, and turmoil with the treasure.

there was a small city with few men in it, and a great king came to it, surrounded it, and constructed large siegeworks against it.But there was found in it a poor wise man, and he saved the city by his wisdom. Yet no one remembered that poor man.So I said,“ Wisdom is better than strength.” But the wisdom of the poor man is despised, and his words are ignored.The words of the wise heard in calm are better than the shouting of a ruler among fools.Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.

Due to a wrongdoing of a land its leaders are many, But by a person of understanding and knowledge, so it endures.

Now Hezekiah had immense riches and honor; and he made for himself treasuries for silver, gold, precious stones, spices, shields, and all kinds of valuable articles,also storehouses for the produce of grain, wine, and oil; stalls for all kinds of cattle, and sheepfolds for the flocks.He made cities for himself and acquired flocks and herds in abundance, because God had given him very great wealth.

God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head on the day of battle.

as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things.

The king gives stability to the land by justice, But a person who takes bribes ruins it.

Do you become a king because you are competing in cedar? Did your father not eat and drink And do justice and righteousness? Then it was well for him.He pled the cause of the afflicted and the poor, Then it was well. Is that not what it means to know Me?” Declares the Lord.“ But your eyes and your heart Are intent only upon your own dishonest gain, And on shedding innocent blood, And on practicing oppression and extortion.”
