He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

He will be the firm foundation for their entire lives. He will give them all the wisdom, knowledge and saving power they will ever need. Respect for the Lord is the key to that treasure.

and he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.

In that day he will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord will be your treasure.

And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge: the fear of Jehovah is thy treasure.

There will be times of security for you— a storehouse of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times,[ and] strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD[ is] his treasure.

He is your constant source of stability; he abundantly provides safety and great wisdom; he gives all this to those who fear him.

There will be stability in your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of Yahweh is your treasure.

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. (niv)

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (niv)

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist. (niv)

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death. (niv)

By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established;through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.The wise prevail through great power, and those who have knowledge muster their strength.Surely you need guidance to wage war, and victory is won through many advisers.Wisdom is too high for fools; in the assembly at the gate they must not open their mouths. Wisdom makes one wise person more powerful than ten rulers in a city. (niv)

King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz cried out in prayer to heaven about this.And the Lord sent an angel, who annihilated all the fighting men and the commanders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he went into the temple of his god, some of his sons, his own flesh and blood, cut him down with the sword. (niv)

Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it. (niv)

Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a helpless people.A tyrannical ruler practices extortion, but one who hates ill- gotten gain will enjoy a long reign. (niv)

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail. (niv)

In your majesty ride forth victoriously in the cause of truth, humility and justice; let your right hand achieve awesome deeds. (niv)

The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. (niv)

Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil. (niv)

There was once a small city with only a few people in it. And a powerful king came against it, surrounded it and built huge siege works against it.Now there lived in that city a man poor but wise, and he saved the city by his wisdom. But nobody remembered that poor man.So I said,“ Wisdom is better than strength.” But the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good. When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a ruler with discernment and knowledge maintains order. (niv)

Hezekiah had very great wealth and honor, and he made treasuries for his silver and gold and for his precious stones, spices, shields and all kinds of valuables.He also made buildings to store the harvest of grain, new wine and olive oil; and he made stalls for various kinds of cattle, and pens for the flocks.He built villages and acquired great numbers of flocks and herds, for God had given him very great riches. Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer, you shield my head in the day of battle. (niv)

sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. (niv)

By justice a king gives a country stability, but those who are greedy for bribes tear it down. (niv)

“ Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar? Did not your father have food and drink? He did what was right and just, so all went well with him.He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?” declares the Lord.“ But your eyes and your heart are set only on dishonest gain, on shedding innocent blood and on oppression and extortion.” (niv)
