Say to the cowardly:“ Be strong; do not fear! Here is your God; vengeance is coming. God’s retribution is coming; he will save you.”

又对那些忧心的人说：“你们要刚强，不要惧怕。看哪！你们的神，他要来报仇，来施行报应，他必来拯救你们。”

要对那些心里惊慌的人说：“你们要坚强，不要害怕。看哪，你们的神！他的报复将到——他所施行的报应将到；他必亲自来拯救你们。”

對膽怯的人說：你們要剛強，不要懼怕。看哪，你們的神必來報仇，必來施行極大的報應；他必來拯救你們。

對心裏焦急的人說：「要剛強，不要懼怕。看哪，你們的上帝要來施報，要施行極大的報應，他必來拯救你們。」

對心裏焦急的人說：「要剛強，不要懼怕。看哪，你們的神要來施報，要施行極大的報應，他必來拯救你們。」

要對膽怯的人說：「你們要剛強，不要懼怕。看啊，你們的上帝必來拯救你們，為你們復仇，施行報應。」

又對那些憂心的人說：“你們要剛強，不要懼怕。看哪！你們的神，他要來報仇，來施行報應，他必來拯救你們。”

要對心着急的人說：『要剛強，不要懼怕！看哪，你們的上帝！必來伸冤，必行神威的報應！他必親自來拯救你們。

要對那些心裡驚慌的人說：「你們要堅強，不要害怕。看哪，你們的神！他的報復將到——他所施行的報應將到；他必親自來拯救你們。」

告心怯者曰、強乃志、勿畏葸、爾之上帝、將以復仇而臨、行上帝之復仇、彼必至而救爾、

若人喪膽、則告之曰、強爾志、毋畏葸、爾之上帝、將臨汝、以伸爾冤、報爾仇、加以援手、

告膽怯者曰、安爾心、毋畏懼、爾之天主必至以復仇、必至以報復、爾之天主必至以復仇必至以報復或作視哉爾之天主臨矣復仇之時已屆天主報復之日已至天主親臨以救爾、

say to those with fearful hearts,“ Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”

Say to those with anxious heart,“ Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The retribution of God will come, But He will save you.”

Say to those who are fearful-hearted,“ Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you.”

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; he will come and save you.

Tell those who have a fearful heart,“ Be strong! Don’t be afraid! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, God’s retribution. He will come and save you.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, be patient until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near.Brothers and sisters, do not complain about one another, so that you will not be judged. Look, the judge stands at the door!

But when these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, because your redemption is near.”

For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a time of paying back Edom for its hostility against Zion.

On that day it will be said to Jerusalem:“ Do not fear; Zion, do not let your hands grow weak.The LORD your God is among you, a warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will be quiet in his love. He will delight in you with singing.”

Even so, be strong, Zerubbabel— this is the LORD’s declaration. Be strong, Joshua son of Jehozadak, high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land— this is the LORD’s declaration. Work! For I am with you— the declaration of the LORD of Armies.

Then David said to his son Solomon,“ Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He won’t leave you or abandon you until all the work for the service of the LORD’s house is finished.

He said,“ Don’t be afraid, you who are treasured by God. Peace to you; be very strong!” As he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said,“ Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

This is the word of the LORD your Maker, the one who formed you from the womb: He will help you. Do not fear, Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.

Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength.

to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor, and the day of our God’s vengeance; to comfort all who mourn,

He who testifies about these things says,“ Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

For the LORD is our Judge, the LORD is our Lawgiver, the LORD is our King. He will save us.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.Be sure that all who are enraged against you will be ashamed and disgraced; those who contend with you will become as nothing and will perish.You will look for those who contend with you, but you will not find them. Those who war against you will become absolutely nothing.For I am the LORD your God, who holds your right hand, who says to you,“ Do not fear, I will help you.Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel. I will help you”— this is the LORD’s declaration. Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the herald, who proclaims peace, who brings news of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion,“ Your God reigns!”The voices of your watchmen— they lift up their voices, shouting for joy together; for every eye will see when the LORD returns to Zion.Be joyful, rejoice together, you ruins of Jerusalem! For the LORD has comforted his people; he has redeemed Jerusalem.The LORD has displayed his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.

But I will have compassion on the house of Judah, and I will deliver them by the LORD their God. I will not deliver them by bow, sword, or war, or by horses and cavalry.

Therefore the Lord GOD said:“ Look, I have laid a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be unshakable.

For the LORD of Armies says this:“ In pursuit of his glory, he sent me against the nations plundering you, for whoever touches you touches the pupil of my eye.For look, I am raising my hand against them, and they will become plunder for their own servants. Then you will know that the LORD of Armies has sent me.“ Daughter Zion, shout for joy and be glad, for I am coming to dwell among you”— this is the LORD’s declaration.

Now this is what the LORD says— the one who created you, Jacob, and the one who formed you, Israel—“ Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are mine.When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you.For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, and your Savior. I have given Egypt as a ransom for you, Cush and Seba in your place.Because you are precious in my sight and honored, and I love you, I will give people in exchange for you and nations instead of your life.Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west.I will say to the north,‘ Give them up!’ and to the south,‘ Do not hold them back!’ Bring my sons from far away, and my daughters from the ends of the earth—

“ Do not be afraid, for you will not be put to shame; don’t be humiliated, for you will not be disgraced. For you will forget the shame of your youth, and you will no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.Indeed, your husband is your Maker— his name is the LORD of Armies— and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of the whole earth.

On that day it will be said,“ Look, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he has saved us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him. Let’s rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

Look, the LORD will come with fire— his chariots are like the whirlwind— to execute his anger with fury and his rebuke with flames of fire.

In my alarm I said,“ Everyone is a liar.”

The reckless mind will gain knowledge, and the stammering tongue will speak clearly and fluently.

Go, my people, enter your rooms and close your doors behind you. Hide for a little while until the wrath has passed.For look, the LORD is coming from his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth will reveal the blood shed on it and will no longer conceal her slain.

Our God is coming; he will not be silent! Devouring fire precedes him, and a storm rages around him.

“ See, I am going to send my messenger, and he will clear the way before me. Then the Lord you seek will suddenly come to his temple, the Messenger of the covenant you delight in— see, he is coming,” says the LORD of Armies.

She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet:See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel, which is translated“ God is with us.”

For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it testifies about the end and will not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, since it will certainly come and not be late.

For yet in a very little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.But my righteous one will live by faith; and if he draws back, I have no pleasure in him.

Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. So it is to be. Amen.

Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will experience affliction for ten days. Be faithful to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Zion, herald of good news, go up on a high mountain. Jerusalem, herald of good news, raise your voice loudly. Raise it, do not be afraid! Say to the cities of Judah,“ Here is your God!”See, the Lord GOD comes with strength, and his power establishes his rule. His wages are with him, and his reward accompanies him.He protects his flock like a shepherd; he gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them in the fold of his garment. He gently leads those that are nursing.

You, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

so also Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Vengeance and retribution belong to me. In time their foot will slip, for their day of disaster is near, and their doom is coming quickly.”The LORD will indeed vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants when he sees that their strength is gone and no one is left— slave or free.He will say,“ Where are their gods, the‘ rock’ they found refuge in?Who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up and help you; let it be a shelter for you.See now that I alone am he; there is no God but me. I bring death and I give life; I wound and I heal. No one can rescue anyone from my power.I raise my hand to heaven and declare: As surely as I live forever,when I sharpen my flashing sword, and my hand takes hold of judgment, I will take vengeance on my adversaries and repay those who hate me.I will make my arrows drunk with blood while my sword devours flesh— the blood of the slain and the captives, the heads of the enemy leaders.”Rejoice, you nations, concerning his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants. He will take vengeance on his adversaries; he will purify his land and his people.

“ Be strong and courageous, for you will distribute the land I swore to their ancestors to give them as an inheritance.Above all, be strong and very courageous to observe carefully the whole instruction my servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or the left, so that you will have success wherever you go.

Therefore the Lord GOD of Armies, the Mighty One of Israel, declares:“ Ah, I will get even with my foes; I will take revenge against my enemies.
