Eyes will no longer be blind and ears will be attentive.The mind that acts rashly will possess discernment and the tongue that stutters will speak with ease and clarity.

At that time the deaf will be able to hear words read from a scroll, and the eyes of the blind will be able to see through deep darkness.

“ Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?”Jesus answered them,“ Go tell John what you hear and see:The blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news proclaimed to them.

The sovereign LORD has given me the capacity to be his spokesman, so that I know how to help the weary. He wakes me up every morning; he makes me alert so I can listen attentively as disciples do.

Now as Jesus was passing by, he saw a man who had been blind from birth.His disciples asked him,“ Rabbi, who committed the sin that caused him to be born blind, this man or his parents?”Jesus answered,“ Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but he was born blind so that the acts of God may be revealed through what happens to him.We must perform the deeds of the one who sent me as long as it is daytime. Night is coming when no one can work.As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”Having said this, he spat on the ground and made some mud with the saliva. He smeared the mud on the blind man’s eyesand said to him,“ Go wash in the pool of Siloam”( which is translated“ sent”). So the blind man went away and washed, and came back seeing.

Jesus said,]“ For judgment I have come into this world, so that those who do not see may gain their sight, and the ones who see may become blind.”

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, shouting,“ Have mercy on us, Son of David!”When he went into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them,“ Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him,“ Yes, Lord.”Then he touched their eyes saying,“ Let it be done for you according to your faith.”And their eyes were opened. Then Jesus sternly warned them,“ See that no one knows about this.”

Now when Jesus saw that a crowd was quickly gathering, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,“ Mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”It shrieked, threw him into terrible convulsions, and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said,“ He is dead!”

I will lead the blind along an unfamiliar way; I will guide them down paths they have never traveled. I will turn the darkness in front of them into light, and level out the rough ground. This is what I will do for them. I will not abandon them.

For everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says:“ Awake, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!”

The blind and lame came to him in the temple courts, and he healed them.

Two blind men were sitting by the road. When they heard that Jesus was passing by, they shouted,“ Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David!”The crowd scolded them to get them to be quiet. But they shouted even more loudly,“ Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”Jesus stopped, called them, and said,“ What do you want me to do for you?”They said to him,“ Lord, let our eyes be opened.”Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.

The LORD gives sight to the blind. The LORD lifts up all who are bent over. The LORD loves the godly.

So Ananias departed and entered the house, placed his hands on Saul and said,“ Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came here, has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,

“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and the regaining of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed,

Then they brought to him a demon- possessed man who was blind and mute. Jesus healed him so that he could speak and see.

Then they came to Bethsaida. They brought a blind man to Jesus and asked him to touch him.He took the blind man by the hand and brought him outside of the village. Then he spit on his eyes, placed his hands on his eyes and asked,“ Do you see anything?”Regaining his sight he said,“ I see people, but they look like trees walking.”Then Jesus placed his hands on the man’s eyes again. And he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

They brought to him a deaf man who had difficulty speaking, and they asked him to place his hands on him.After Jesus took him aside privately, away from the crowd, he put his fingers in the man’s ears, and after spitting, he touched his tongue.Then he looked up to heaven and said with a sigh,“ Ephphatha”( that is,“ Be opened”).And immediately the man’s ears were opened, his tongue loosened, and he spoke plainly.Jesus ordered them not to tell anything. But as much as he ordered them not to do this, they proclaimed it all the more.People were completely astounded and said,“ He has done everything well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you spiritual wisdom and revelation in your growing knowledge of him,– since the eyes of your heart have been enlightened– so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

The ear that hears and the eye that sees– the LORD has made them both.

The LORD said to him,“ Who gave a mouth to man, or who makes a person mute or deaf or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?

You did not hear, you do not know, you were not told beforehand. For I know that you are very deceitful; you were labeled a rebel from birth.

But some of them said,“ This is the man who caused the blind man to see! Couldn’t he have done something to keep Lazarus from dying?”

to open their eyes so that they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Bring out the people who are blind, even though they have eyes, those who are deaf, even though they have ears!

I answered,“ Who would listen if I spoke to them and warned them? Their ears are so closed that they cannot hear! Indeed, what the LORD says is offensive to them. They do not like it at all.

Then he gives a revelation to people, and terrifies them with warnings,
