Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

Those who can’t walk will leap like a deer. And those who can’t speak will shout for joy. Water will pour out in dry places. Streams will flow in the desert.

then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. For waters break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;

The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will sing for joy! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland.

Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed. (niv)

The fearful heart will know and understand, and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear. (niv)

While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus.And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said,“ Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.” (niv)

Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. (niv)

I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink.” So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel. (niv)

In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them. (niv)

Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank. (niv)

“ The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. (niv)

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, (niv)

The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them. (niv)

There some people brought to him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Jesus to place his hand on him.After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spit and touched the man’s tongue.He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him,“ Ephphatha!”( which means“ Be opened!”).At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone. But the more he did so, the more they kept talking about it.People were overwhelmed with amazement.“ He has done everything well,” they said.“ He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.” (niv)

The Spirit and the bride say,“ Come!” And let the one who hears say,“ Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. (niv)

Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. (niv)

Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them.The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel. (niv)

Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise. (niv)

Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue set free, and he began to speak, praising God. (niv)

The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, (niv)

He split the rocks in the wilderness and gave them water as abundant as the seas;he brought streams out of a rocky crag and made water flow down like rivers. (niv)

The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east( for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar.He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was trickling from the south side.As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep.He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist.He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in— a river that no one could cross.He asked me,“ Son of man, do you see this?” Then he led me back to the bank of the river.When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river.He said to me,“ This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh.Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds— like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea.But the swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they will be left for salt. (niv)

Then Peter said,“ Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. (niv)

They did not thirst when he led them through the deserts; he made water flow for them from the rock; he split the rock and water gushed out. (niv)

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. (niv)

In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked.He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healedand called out,“ Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk. (niv)

They will neither hunger nor thirst, nor will the desert heat or the sun beat down on them. He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them beside springs of water.I will turn all my mountains into roads, and my highways will be raised up. (niv)

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. (niv)

A man in the crowd answered,“ Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”“ You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied,“ how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.Jesus asked the boy’s father,“ How long has he been like this?”“ From childhood,” he answered.“ It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”“‘ If you can’?” said Jesus.“ Everything is possible for one who believes.”Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed,“ I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit.“ You deaf and mute spirit,” he said,“ I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” (niv)

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice,“ Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (niv)

The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. (niv)

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb (niv)

For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. (niv)

On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it east to the Dead Sea and half of it west to the Mediterranean Sea, in summer and in winter. (niv)
