只有耶和華是真神；他是永活的神，是永遠的君王。他一發怒，大地就震動，萬國都不能承受他的忿怒。

他若對人決心這樣作，他若把靈與氣收歸自己，有血肉生命的就都一同氣絕身亡，世人都歸回塵土。

到那日，主必再用自己的手，贖回他子民中的餘民，就是從亞述、埃及、巴忒羅、古實、以攔、示拿和哈馬，以及眾海島所剩下的。

他要按照各人的行為施行報應，把烈怒降與他的敵人，把報應加給他的仇敵，向眾海島的人施行報應。

但你敵人的數量必多如灰塵，那些強暴者的數量也多如被吹散的糠秕，這必在頃刻之間，突然發生。

我要在他們中間施行神蹟，從他們中間差遣所有逃脫的人到列國去，就是到他施、普勒、善於拉弓的路德、土巴和雅完，以及從未聽過我的名聲、從未見過我的榮耀的遙遠眾海島；他們必把我的榮耀傳揚在列國中。

這些人的後裔分散居住在沿海的土地和島嶼上。各人隨著自己的方言、宗族，住在自己的國土中。

眾海島看見了，就都懼怕；地極也都戰兢；他們都近前來。

對於他們，耶和華是可畏懼的，因為他要消滅地上一切神祇；那時，列國海島上的居民，都各在自己的地方敬拜他。

後來他必轉向沿海的島嶼，奪取了許多海島。但有一個將領要制止他的驕橫，並且使他的驕橫歸回他身上。
