諸天宣揚他的公義，因為神自己就是審判者。（細拉）

“你們當記念這事，要堅定不移；悖逆的人哪！你們要留心思想。

我的手奠定了大地的根基，我的右手展開了諸天；我一呼喚它們，它們就一同站著侍候。

然而卻未嘗不為自己留下明證，就如常常行善事，從天上降下雨來，常常賞賜豐年，使你們吃喝充足，滿心歡樂。”

神的事情，人所能知道的，在他們裡面原是明顯的，因為神已經向他們顯明了。其實自從創世以來，神那看不見的事，就如他永恆的大能和神性，都是看得見的，就是從他所造的萬物中可以領悟，叫人沒有辦法推諉。因為他們雖然知道神，卻不尊他為神，也不感謝他，反而心思變為虛妄，愚頑的心就迷糊了。

做偶像的必和偶像一樣；凡是倚靠它們的，都必這樣。

他們既然故意不認識神，神就任憑他們存著敗壞的心，去作那些不正當的事。

你忘記了造你的耶和華，就是那展開諸天，奠定大地的根基的；又因那欺壓者準備行毀滅的時候所發的烈怒，你就終日不住懼怕呢？其實那欺壓者的烈怒在哪裡呢？

枝條枯乾了，就必被折斷；婦女必來，拿去生火，因為這人民愚昧無知，所以他們的創造主不憐憫他們，那造成他們的，不向他們施恩。

他所追求的只是灰塵，被迷惑了的心使他偏離正道了；他不能救自己，也不會說：“在我的右手中不是有個假神嗎？”

這樣說來，猶太人獨特的地方在哪裡呢？割禮又有甚麼益處呢？從各方面來說，的確很多。最重要的，是神的聖言已經託付了他們。

諸天述說神的榮耀，穹蒼傳揚他的作為。天天發出言語，夜夜傳出知識。沒有話語，沒有言詞，人也聽不到它們的聲音。它們的聲音（按照《馬索拉文本》，“聲音”作“準繩”；現參照《七十士譯本》等古譯本翻譯）傳遍全地，它們的言語傳到地極，神在它們中間為太陽安設帳幕。太陽如同新郎出洞房，又像勇士歡歡喜喜地跑路。

他們全是頑梗愚昧，他們所領受的教導是來自那些虛無、木做的偶像。那些偶像鑲有經過錘煉的銀片，銀子是從他施運來的，也有從烏法運來的金子，都是匠人和金匠手作的產品。它們穿著藍色和紫色的衣服，全都是巧匠的作品。只有耶和華是真神；他是永活的神，是永遠的君王。他一發怒，大地就震動，萬國都不能承受他的忿怒。你們要對他們這樣說：“那些沒有創造天地的神，必從地上、從天下消滅。”耶和華用自己的能力創造了大地，用自己的智慧堅立了世界，又用自己的聰明展開了諸天。
