Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. (niv)

The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. (niv)

They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the Mediterranean.He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth. May he rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.May the desert tribes bow before him and his enemies lick the dust.May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores bring tribute to him. “ I will set a sign among them, and I will send some of those who survive to the nations— to Tarshish, to the Libyans and Lydians( famous as archers), to Tubal and Greece, and to the distant islands that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. (niv)

Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord; exalt the name of the Lord, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.From the ends of the earth we hear singing:“ Glory to the Righteous One.” But I said,“ I waste away, I waste away! Woe to me! The treacherous betray! With treachery the treacherous betray!” (niv)

Let them give glory to the Lord and proclaim his praise in the islands. (niv)

The islands have seen it and fear; the ends of the earth tremble. They approach and come forward; (niv)

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law( though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. (niv)
