“ But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord.“ You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be.

“ Do not forget this! Keep it in mind! Remember this, you guilty ones.Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me.

so all the world from east to west will know there is no other God. I am the Lord, and there is no other.

First I predicted your rescue, then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world. No foreign god has ever done this. You are witnesses that I am the only God,” says the Lord.

This is what the Lord says— Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies:“ I am the First and the Last; there is no other God.Who is like me? Let him step forward and prove to you his power. Let him do as I have done since ancient times when I established a people and explained its future.Do not tremble; do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim my purposes for you long ago? You are my witnesses— is there any other God? No! There is no other Rock— not one!”

Haven’t you heard? Don’t you understand? Are you deaf to the words of God— the words he gave before the world began? Are you so ignorant?God sits above the circle of the earth. The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.

Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form,

“ But as for you, Israel my servant, Jacob my chosen one, descended from Abraham my friend,

to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony.John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light.

“ Look at my servant, whom I strengthen. He is my chosen one, who pleases me. I have put my Spirit upon him. He will bring justice to the nations.

I am doing this so all who see this miracle will understand what it means— that it is the Lord who has done this, the Holy One of Israel who created it.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere— in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.

who faithfully reported everything he saw. This is his report of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf.

And we apostles would all be lying about God— for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead.

See how I used him to display my power among the peoples. I made him a leader among the nations.

and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us.

“ Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen— the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s new creation:

And you must also testify about me because you have been with me from the beginning of my ministry.
