米迦说：“你们将我所做的神像和祭司都带了去，我还有所剩的吗？怎么还问我说‘做什么’呢？”

雅各就对他家中的人并一切与他同在的人说：“你们要除掉你们中间的外邦神，也要自洁，更换衣裳。

我们既是神所生的，就不当以为神的神性像人用手艺、心思所雕刻的金、银、石。

惟恐你们败坏自己，雕刻偶像，仿佛什么男像女像，或地上走兽的像，或空中飞鸟的像，或地上爬物的像，或地底下水中鱼的像。

“‘有人制造耶和华所憎恶的偶像，或雕刻，或铸造，就是工匠手所做的，在暗中设立，那人必受咒诅！’百姓都要答应说：‘阿们！’

至于你的神像，你在谁那里搜出来，就不容谁存活。当着我们的众弟兄，你认一认，在我这里有什么东西是你的，就拿去。”原来雅各不知道拉结偷了那些神像。
