尚有餘木、用之造神、以為雕像、俯伏拜之、禱曰、爾其救予、蓋爾為我神也、

更有餘木、以製偶像、以像上帝、俯伏而拜、禱曰、誠我上帝、爾其救予、

所餘即作神像偶像、俯伏其前叩拜、禱之曰、求爾救我、因爾即我神、

Then he takes what’s left and makes his god: a carved idol! He falls down in front of it, worshiping and praying to it.“ Rescue me!” he says.“ You are my god!”

If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.

And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel,“ Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”Then Daniel said to the king,“ O king, live forever!My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”

So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying,“ O Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made.

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? Indeed, have they delivered Samaria from my hand?Who among all the gods of these lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?’”

So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel,“ Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.”

Now it came to pass, as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, that his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer struck him down with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. Then Esarhaddon his son reigned in his place.

He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this.”
