故若禾稿焚於火、枯草銷於焰、其根將朽、其花飛揚若塵、因其廢棄萬軍耶和華之律、藐視以色列聖者之言、

耶和華萬有之真宰、以色列族之聖主、定律例、立法度、彼蔑棄之、藐視之、故必敗亡、若火之燬稈、若燄之燃蒭、本實必撥、花蕊必謝、

故其根必若朽物、其花飛散如塵、勢如火焰焚稈、烈焰燬芻、因彼違棄萬有之主之法、藐視以色列聖主之言、

Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Flames of fire burn up straw. Dry grass sinks down into those flames. Evil people will be like plants whose roots rot away. They will be like flowers that are blown away like dust. That’s because they have said no to the law of the Lord who rules over all. They have turned against the message of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root will be as rottenness, and their blossom go up like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, and have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, just as fire licks up stubble and dry grass shrivels in the flame, so their roots will rot and their flowers wither. For they have rejected the law of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies; they have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes straw and as dry grass shrivels in the flame, so their roots will become like something rotten and their blossoms will blow away like dust, for they have rejected the instruction of the LORD of Armies, and they have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes stubble, And dry grass collapses in the flame, So their root will become like rot, and their blossom blow away like dust; For they have rejected the Law of the Lord of armies, And discarded the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, And the flame consumes the chaff, So their root will be as rottenness, And their blossom will ascend like dust; Because they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore as the tongue of fire devoureth the stubble, and as the dry grass sinketh down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have rejected the law of Jehovah of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as a tongue of fire consumes straw and as dry grass shrivels in the flame, so their roots will become like something rotten and their blossoms will blow away like dust, for they have rejected the instruction of the Lord of Hosts, and they have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff,[ so] their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, as flaming fire devours straw, and dry grass disintegrates in the flames, so their root will rot, and their flower will blow away like dust. For they have rejected the law of the LORD who commands armies, they have spurned the commands of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust, because they have rejected the law of Yahweh of Armies, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

他下面的根枯乾，上面的枝子凋謝。

因此，以色列的聖者這樣說：“因為你們棄絕了這話，反而信賴欺壓和乖僻的手段，更以此為倚靠，

他們在群山頂上跳躍的聲音，如戰車的響聲，又如火燄吞滅碎稭的響聲，像強盛的民擺陣預備作戰。

看哪！他們必像碎稭，火必要焚燒他們；他們不能救自己脫離火燄的威力；這不是可以烤火取暖的火炭，也不是可以坐在它面前的火。

你以莫大的威榮，毀滅了那些起來攻擊你的人；你發出烈怒，把他們燒滅像燒禾稭一樣。

因為這是悖逆的子民，不忠心的兒女，不肯聽從耶和華教導的兒女。

他手裡拿著簸箕，要揚淨麥場，把麥子收進倉裡，卻用不滅的火把糠秕燒盡。”

撒母耳回答掃羅：“我不與你一同回去，因為你棄絕了耶和華的話，耶和華也棄絕你作以色列的王。”

所以那棄絕這命令的，不是棄絕人，而是棄絕把他自己的聖靈賜給你們的那位神。

聽從你們的，就是聽從我；棄絕你們的，就是棄絕我；棄絕我的，就是棄絕那差我來的。”

因為悖逆與行邪術的罪相同，頑梗與拜虛無偶像一樣，因為你棄絕了耶和華的話，耶和華也棄絕了你作王。”

我不是在他們面前把亞摩利人消滅了嗎？亞摩利人雖像香柏樹高大，像橡樹那樣堅固；我卻要滅絕它樹上的果子，拔除樹下的根。

因此，耶和華在一日之間，必從以色列中剪除頭和尾、棕枝與蘆葦。長老和尊貴人就是頭；用謊言教導人的先知就是尾。因為那些領導這人民的，使他們走錯了路；那些被領導的，都必一片混亂。因此，主不喜歡他們的年輕人，也不憐恤他們的孤兒寡婦；因為他們各人都是不敬虔的，是邪惡的，各人的口都說愚昧的話。雖然這樣，耶和華的怒氣還沒有轉消，他的手仍然伸出。

如果有人用金、銀、寶石、草、木、禾稭，在這根基上建造，各人的工程將來必要顯露，因為那日子必把它顯明出來。有火要把它顯露出來，那火要考驗各人的工程是怎樣的。

“可是他們竟悖逆，背叛你，把你的律法丟在背後，殺害那些控告他們，要他們歸向你的先知，犯了褻瀆的大罪。

大地啊，要聽！我必使災禍臨到這人民，這是他們的意圖帶來的結果；因為他們沒有留心聽我的話，我的律法他們也棄絕了。

他們像纏結著的荊棘，像喝醉了的酒徒，又像枯乾的禾稭，全都被吞滅了。

至於你，你憎恨管教，並且把我的話丟在背後。

可是他們不聽從，反而硬著自己的頸項，好像他們的祖先，不信服耶和華他們的神；厭棄他的律例和他與他們的祖先訂立的約，以及他對他們的警戒；卻信從虛無的神，自己成為虛妄，跟從他們周圍的外族人，耶和華曾吩咐他們不可跟從他們的行為。

智慧人必蒙羞，驚惶失措。看哪！他們棄絕了耶和華的話，他們還有甚麼智慧呢？

但法利賽人和律法師，未受過約翰的洗禮，就拒絕神對他們的美意。

萬軍之耶和華說：“看哪！那日來到，像燒著的火爐一樣；驕傲的和作惡的，都必成為碎稭；那要來的日子，必把他們燒盡，不給他們留下一根一枝。

因此我要成為以法蓮的蛀蟲，成為猶大家的朽爛。

棄絕我又不接受我的話的人，自有審判他的。我所講的道在末日要定他的罪；

“這子民既然厭棄了西羅亞緩流的水，卻喜悅利汛和利瑪利的兒子，

如果有人干犯了摩西的律法，憑著兩三個證人，他尚且得不到憐憫而死；何況是踐踏神的兒子，把那使他成聖的立約的血當作俗物，又侮辱施恩的聖靈的人，你們想想，他不是應該受更嚴厲的刑罰嗎？

你為甚麼藐視耶和華的話，行他看為惡的事呢？你用刀擊殺了赫人烏利亞，娶了他的妻子作你的妻子，你藉著亞捫人的刀殺了烏利亞。所以，從今以後，刀劍必不離開你的家，因為你藐視了我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻子作你的妻子。’

‘傲慢的人哪！你們要看、要驚奇、要滅亡，因為在你們的日子，我要作一件事，就算有人告訴你們，你們總是不信。’”

以法蓮被擊打，他們的根枯乾了，必不能再結果子。即使他們生產，我必殺死他們所生的愛子。”
