so he will sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.

But many nations will be surprised when they see what he has done. Kings will be so amazed that they will not be able to say anything. They will understand things they were never told. They will know the meaning of things they never heard.”

爾雖為牧伯所制、億兆所藐、此邦之人所棄、然我耶和華為以色列族之聖主、救主、言出惟行、既遴選爾、必使列王來覲、俯伏於爾前。

異邦人素未之識、必蒙其召、趨而就焉、蓋我耶和華、以色列族之聖主、即彼之上帝、使彼得榮。

摩西有信、守逾越節、用灑血禮、恐殘賊埃及之長子、波及以色列、

以清水灑爾、使爾為潔、凡拜偶像行淫穢之事、均滌除焉。

有新約中保耶穌其灑血默籲、較亞伯為尤善、

王為父、后為母、撫育爾子、俯伏拜跪爾前、舐爾足塵、使爾知我乃耶和華、凡恃我者、永不愧怍。

我已甚慕傳福音、不在耶穌被稱之處、恐建於他人基上、經云、未蒙示者將觀之、未得聞者將悟之、

爾往招萬民為徒、以父、子、聖神之名施洗、

同官肅然無譁、長者拑口、齦閉舌卷。

若牛羊之血、與焚犢之灰、以灑污穢者、猶能潔其身、何況基督賴恆在之神、自無瑕垢、而獻己與上帝、其血能淨爾心、去妄行、使事永生之上帝乎、

在昔父上帝、預知簡爾、蒙神成聖、得耶穌基督灑血、使爾信從、願恩寵平康、錫爾不匱、

既高舉在上帝右、受父所許之聖神、則以此降賦、是爾曹所見所聞也、

我施仁義、手援斯眾、以伸其冤、其時伊邇、洲島之人、將瞻望予、惟予眷佑是賴。

乃前古未嘗示人、今聖神顯示聖使徒與先知、即異邦人同為嗣子、合為一體、共享上帝因基督在福音所許之福、為傳此福音、上帝以大力、恩賜我為執事、然我在聖徒中、微而又微者也、上帝賜恩、使我於異邦中、傳基督之富有、人不可測、令眾共知上帝永世所隱奧妙、上帝以耶穌基督造萬物、

耶和華居聖所、勃然而興、億兆當寅畏焉。

則當意誠信篤洗心去惡、潔身去垢、而至上帝前、

異邦之人、素彰厥能、見我所為、抱愧蒙羞、掩口塞耳、必舐塵若蛇、出穴若蟲、寅畏我、亦畏懼爾。

成潔之事、有常例焉。以贖罪之水灑之、使毫髮盡薙、濯衣成潔。

惟上帝能堅爾曹、從我所傳耶穌基督之福音、亦從上古未言之奧、今以先知之書昭著、遵永生上帝命、示異邦使之信服、

渺我微軀、弗能應對、無以措辭、

其所以救我者、非由我有義行、乃由主矜恤、以更生盥濯我、以聖神復新我、上帝念吾救主耶穌基督、厚賜聖神、

居荒服者、拜跪於前、為仇敵者、望塵俯伏兮、大失海島之王、將饋禮物、示巴西巴之主、將納貢稅兮、列王稽首、萬姓歸誠兮。
