此猶挪亞之洪水、昔我誓云、不復使洪水汎濫於地、今亦誓云、不復怒爾、不復責爾矣、

昔挪亞時、我矢之云、自後洪水、必不汎濫於天下、今也、我亦誓不怒爾責爾矣。

爾之景況、我譬諸挪亞洪水、彼時、我誓不復使挪亞洪水氾濫於地、今我亦誓、不復怒爾、不復責爾、

“ To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again.

“ During Noah’s time I made a promise. I said I would never cover the earth with water again. In the same way, I have promised not to be angry with you. I will never punish you again.

“ This is like the days of Noah to me: as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, and will not rebuke you.

“ Just as I swore in the time of Noah that I would never again let a flood cover the earth, so now I swear that I will never again be angry and punish you.

“ For this is like the days of Noah to me: when I swore that the water of Noah would never flood the earth again, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you.

“ For this is like the days of Noah to Me, When I swore that the waters of Noah Would not flood the earth again; So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you Nor rebuke you.

“ For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; For as I have sworn That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, So have I sworn That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

For this is as the waters of Noah unto me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah shall no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

“ For this is like the days of Noah to Me: when I swore that the waters of Noah would never flood the earth again, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you.

For this[ is as] the waters of Noah unto me: for[ as] I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

“ As far as I am concerned, this is like in Noah’s time, when I vowed that the waters of Noah’s flood would never again cover the earth. In the same way I have vowed that I will not be angry at you or shout at you.

“ For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

到那日，你必說：“耶和華啊！我要稱謝你，因為你雖曾向我發怒，你的怒氣卻已轉消，你又安慰了我。

耶和華聞了那馨香的氣味，就心裡說：“我必不再因人的緣故咒詛這地（因為人從小時開始心中所想的都是邪惡的）；我也必不再照著我作過的，擊殺各樣的活物。

從我的口所出的話也必這樣，必不徒然返回我這裡，卻要作成我所喜悅的，使它在我差遣它去作的事上必然亨通。

那使太陽白晝發光，派定月亮和星辰照耀黑夜，又攪動海洋，使海浪澎湃的，萬軍之耶和華是他的名，他這樣說：“這些定律若能從我面前廢掉，以色列的後裔也就會在我面前斷絕，永遠不再成為一個國家。”這是耶和華的宣告。

我要與你們立約：凡有生命的必不再被洪水除滅，再沒有洪水來毀滅大地了。”神說：“這就是我與你們，與一切跟你們同在有生命的活物所立之約的記號，直到萬代；我把彩虹放在雲彩中，作我與大地立約的記號。我使雲彩遮蓋大地時，彩虹出現雲彩中，我就記念我與你們和一切有生命的活物所立的約：水不再成為洪水，來毀滅凡有生命的。彩虹在雲彩中出現，我看見了就記念我與地上一切有生命的活物，所立的永約。”

“耶和華這樣說：‘你們若能廢掉我所立白晝和黑夜的約，使白晝和黑夜不按時更替，就能廢掉我和我僕人大衛所立的約，使他沒有兒子在他的王位上作王；也能廢掉我和那些事奉我的利未支派的祭司所立的約。我卻必使我僕人大衛的後裔和事奉我的利未人增多，像天上的萬象不能數算、海邊的沙粒不能斗量。’”耶和華的話臨到耶利米，說：“你沒有留意列國的人民說甚麼嗎？他們說：‘耶和華所揀選的這兩個家族，他已經棄絕了。’他們藐視我的子民，不再把他們看為一個國家。耶和華這樣說：‘我若沒有設立白晝和黑夜的約，或立定天地的定律，我就會棄絕雅各的後裔，和我僕人大衛的後裔，不從大衛的後裔中選人出來統治亞伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的後裔。我卻必使他們被擄的人歸回，也必憐憫他們。’”

你們必在我的筵席上吃飽馬匹、騎兵、勇士和所有的戰士。這是主耶和華的宣告。’

因為人起誓都是指著比自己大的起誓。這誓言就了結了他們中間的一切糾紛，作為保證。照樣，神定意向那些承受應許的人，更清楚地表明他的旨意是不更改的，就用起誓作保證。這兩件事是不能更改的，因為神是決不說謊的。因此，我們這些逃進避難所的人，就大得安慰，抓緊那擺在我們面前的盼望。

你定了界限，使眾水不能越過；它們不再轉回掩蓋大地。
