此猶挪亞之洪水、昔我誓云、不復使洪水汎濫於地、今亦誓云、不復怒爾、不復責爾矣、

昔挪亞時、我矢之云、自後洪水、必不汎濫於天下、今也、我亦誓不怒爾責爾矣。

“ To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again.

“ During Noah’s time I made a promise. I said I would never cover the earth with water again. In the same way, I have promised not to be angry with you. I will never punish you again.

“ This is like the days of Noah to me: as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, and will not rebuke you.

“ Just as I swore in the time of Noah that I would never again let a flood cover the earth, so now I swear that I will never again be angry and punish you.

“ For this is like the days of Noah to me: when I swore that the water of Noah would never flood the earth again, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you.

“ For this is like the days of Noah to Me, When I swore that the waters of Noah Would not flood the earth again; So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you Nor rebuke you.

“ For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; For as I have sworn That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, So have I sworn That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

For this is as the waters of Noah unto me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah shall no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

For this[ is as] the waters of Noah unto me: for[ as] I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

“ As far as I am concerned, this is like in Noah’s time, when I vowed that the waters of Noah’s flood would never again cover the earth. In the same way I have vowed that I will not be angry at you or shout at you.

“ For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

到那日，你必说：“耶和华啊，我要称谢你！因为你虽然向我发怒，你的怒气却已转消；你又安慰了我。

耶和华闻那馨香之气，就心里说：“我不再因人的缘故咒诅地（人从小时心里怀着恶念），也不再按着我才行的灭各种的活物了。

我口所出的话也必如此，决不徒然返回，却要成就我所喜悦的，在我发他去成就的事上必然亨通。

那使太阳白日发光，使星月有定例，黑夜发亮，又搅动大海，使海中波浪砰訇的，万军之耶和华是他的名。他如此说：“这些定例若能在我面前废掉，以色列的后裔也就在我面前断绝，永远不再成国。这是耶和华说的。”

我与你们立约，凡有血肉的，不再被洪水灭绝，也不再有洪水毁坏地了。”神说：“我与你们并你们这里的各样活物所立的永约是有记号的。我把虹放在云彩中，这就可作我与地立约的记号了。我使云彩盖地的时候，必有虹现在云彩中，我便记念我与你们和各样有血肉的活物所立的约，水就再不泛滥、毁坏一切有血肉的物了。虹必现在云彩中，我看见，就要记念我与地上各样有血肉的活物所立的永约。”

“耶和华如此说：你们若能废弃我所立白日黑夜的约，使白日黑夜不按时轮转，就能废弃我与我仆人大卫所立的约，使他没有儿子在他的宝座上为王，并能废弃我与侍奉我的祭司、利未人所立的约。天上的万象不能数算，海边的尘沙也不能斗量；我必照样使我仆人大卫的后裔和侍奉我的利未人多起来。”耶和华的话临到耶利米说：“你没有揣摩这百姓的话吗？他们说：‘耶和华所拣选的二族，他已经弃绝了。’他们这样藐视我的百姓，以为不再成国。耶和华如此说：‘若是我立白日黑夜的约不能存住，若是我未曾安排天地的定例，我就弃绝雅各的后裔和我仆人大卫的后裔，不使大卫的后裔治理亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的后裔；因为我必使他们被掳的人归回，也必怜悯他们。’”

你们必在我席上饱吃马匹和坐车的人，并勇士和一切的战士。这是主耶和华说的。”

人都是指着比自己大的起誓，并且以起誓为实据，了结各样的争论。照样，神愿意为那承受应许的人格外显明他的旨意是不更改的，就起誓为证。藉这两件不更改的事，神决不能说谎，好叫我们这逃往避难所、持定摆在我们前头指望的人可以大得勉励。

你定了界限，使水不能过去，不再转回遮盖地面。
