爾何肆志遨遊、重蹈故轍、昔爾維亞述是恃、而蒙愧恥、今爾惟埃及是賴、而抱羞慙。

甘霖不沛、春澍不降、爾靦顏不知恥、有若淫婦。

我所欲者我必為之、昔我列祖、王公、在猶大諸邑、耶路撒冷逵衢焚香灌奠、奉事天后、當時咸得果腹、所遇亨通、不遘患難、我不焚香灌奠奉事天后、我則缺乏、又遇鋒刃饑饉而亡。

故昔未有法而我生、誡至、惡生而我死、

患難之際、亞哈士王愈犯耶和華、祭大馬色之上帝、彼以為亞蘭列王之上帝助亞蘭王以陷我、我亦獻祭、望其助我、是自取罪戾、害及以色列族眾。
