你究竟害怕誰、畏懼誰，以致說謊、不記念我，也不把我放在心上呢？難道我長久以來不是一直靜默嗎？難道你們因此就不敬畏我了嗎？

你怕谁？因谁恐惧？竟说谎，不记念我，又不将这事放在心上。我不是许久闭口不言，你仍不怕我吗？

你怕誰？你因誰而懼怕，以致你對我說謊呢？你不記念我，也不把我放在心上，是不是因為我長久緘默，你就不懼怕我呢？

你怕誰？你因誰而恐懼，竟然撒謊？連我、你都不懷念，不放在心上！豈不是我緘默不言又閉口許久了，以致連我、你都不畏懼麼？

爾畏誰、因誰而懼、致爾誑言、不以我為念、不以此為意、爾不畏我、豈非因我歷久無言乎、

爾敬恪者誰、反悖逆予、不以予為意、予不罪爾、爾益無忌憚、

爾畏懼誰、因誰驚恐、竟行虛偽、不記憶我、不以我為意、我久已容忍、爾反不敬畏我、

“ Whom have you so dreaded and feared that you have not been true to me, and have neither remembered me nor taken this to heart? Is it not because I have long been silent that you do not fear me?

“ Who are you so afraid of that you have not been faithful to me? You have not remembered me. What you do doesn’t even bother you. I have not punished you for a long time. That is why you are not afraid of me.

Whom did you dread and fear, so that you lied, and did not remember me, did not lay it to heart? Have I not held my peace, even for a long time, and you do not fear me?

“ Are you afraid of these idols? Do they terrify you? Is that why you have lied to me and forgotten me and my words? Is it because of my long silence that you no longer fear me?

Who was it you dreaded and feared, so that you lied and didn’t remember me or take it to heart? I have kept silent for a long time, haven’t I? So you do not fear me.

“ Of whom were you worried and fearful When you lied, and did not remember Me Nor give Me a thought? Was I not silent, even for a long time, So you do not fear Me?

“ And of whom have you been afraid, or feared, That you have lied And not remembered Me, Nor taken it to your heart? Is it not because I have held My peace from of old That you do not fear Me?

And of whom hast thou been afraid and in fear, that thou liest, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of long time, and thou fearest me not?

Who was it you dreaded and feared, so that you lied and didn’t remember Me or take it to heart? Have I not kept silent for such a long time and you do not fear Me?

And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid[ it] to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?

Whom are you worried about? Whom do you fear, that you would act so deceitfully and not remember me or think about me? Because I have been silent for so long, you are not afraid of me.

“ Whom have you dreaded and feared, so that you lie, and have not remembered me, nor laid it to your heart? Haven’t I held my peace for a long time, and you don’t fear me?

你做了這些，我還保持沉默；你就以為我完全像你一樣；其實我要責備你，並且把這些擺列在你眼前。

對人的懼怕，會成為陷阱；依靠耶和華的，安穩在高處。

「我，是我安慰你們；你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被棄如草芥的世人；竟忘記了那造你的耶和華，就是展開諸天、奠定大地根基的那一位；竟終日不斷地懼怕，就是懼怕壓迫者預備行毀滅時的怒火！其實那壓迫者的怒火在哪裡呢？

但那些膽怯的、不信的、可憎的、殺人的、淫亂的、行邪術的、拜偶像的，和所有說謊的人，他們的份就在燃燒著烈火和硫磺的湖裡。這是第二次的死亡。」

原來，從雅各那裡來的一些人到達之前，磯法與外邦人一起吃飯；可是那些人一到，他因為怕那些割禮派的人，就退縮，與外邦人分開了。其餘的猶太人也跟著他裝假，以致連巴拿巴也被他們的偽善引入歧途。

因為你們的雙手被血染汙，你們的指頭被罪孽玷汙；你們的嘴唇說出虛謊之言，你們的舌頭吐露不義之語。沒有人以公義申訴，沒有人以信實申辯；人人都依靠虛無，說話虛妄，懷上禍患，生下邪惡；

這些教義出於說謊之人的偽善，這些人的良心已經麻木了。

彼得坐在外面的院子裡，有一個女僕過來對他說：「你也與那個加利利人耶穌是一夥的。」彼得卻在眾人面前否認說：「我不知道你在說什麼。」他出去到門口，另有一個女僕看見他，對那裡的人說：「這個人與拿撒勒人耶穌是一夥的。」彼得又起誓否認說：「我不認識那個人！」過了一會兒，旁邊站著的人過來對彼得說：「你真的也是與他們一夥的，因為連你的口音也把你暴露了。」彼得就開始賭咒並起誓說：「我不認識那個人！」立時，雞就叫了。彼得想起耶穌說過的話：「雞叫以前，你會三次不認我」，就到外面去，痛哭起來。

這不法之人的到來，是出於撒旦的作為，對那些正在滅亡的人，使用一切能力、虛假的神蹟和奇事，

那些犬類、行邪術的、淫亂的、殺人的、拜偶像的，以及所有愛虛假、行虛假的人，都在外面。

因為他們是悖逆的子民，欺詐的兒女，是不肯聽從耶和華訓誨的兒女。

惡人雖被恩待，也不學公義；他在正直之地仍行事不義，也不看耶和華的威嚴。

因為沒有迅速執行對惡行的判決，所以世人的心裡就充滿了作惡的念頭；

彼得就說：「阿納尼亞，為什麼撒旦充滿了你的心，使你對聖靈說謊，從田產的價款中私自留下一些呢？
