You went to Molek with olive oil and increased your perfumes. You sent your ambassadors far away; you descended to the very realm of the dead!

You took olive oil to the god named Molek. You took a lot of perfume along with you. You sent your messengers to places far away. You even sent them down to the place of the dead.

You journeyed to the king with oil and multiplied your perfumes; you sent your envoys far off, and sent down even to Sheol.

亞哈斯遣使見亞述王提革拉毘列色曰、我乃王之僕、王之子、今亞蘭王與以色列王攻我、求王來救我脫於其手、亞哈斯以主殿及王宮之府庫所有金銀、餽亞述王、亞述王允其所請、遂上攻大瑪色取焉、擄其居民至吉珥、又殺利汛、亞哈斯往大瑪色、迎亞述王提革拉毘列色、在大瑪色見一祭臺、遂圖其臺之規模、式樣、制度、遣人攜至祭司烏利雅所、亞哈斯王自大瑪色旋歸之先、祭司烏利雅建祭臺、循亞哈斯王自大瑪色所寄之圖而建、

以法蓮食風而追東風、日增虛誑強暴、與亞述結盟、貢油於伊及、或作以法蓮日增虛誑強暴與亞述結盟貢油於伊及地乃如捕風

賤者低、貴者降、主毋赦之、

以法蓮無知、蠢然如鴿、或作以法蓮如鴿愚蠢無知哀呼伊及、往亞述求救、

下伊及求助、倚賴戰馬、因車乘眾多而恃之、馬卒甚強而賴之、不仰望以色列之聖主、不祈求主、是人也、禍哉禍哉、惟主至明、或作主有智慧必降災禍、不反覆其言、必興起而懲罰惡族、懲罰輔助行惡之人、伊及之眾、世人也、非神也、其馬、血氣也、非靈也、主必舉手、使來助者顛蹶、受助者傾仆、同歸滅亡、○
