This is what the Lord says: Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. What house could you possibly build for Me? And what place could be My home?

耶和华如此说：“天是我的座位；地是我的脚凳。你们要为我造何等的殿宇？哪里是我安息的地方呢？”

耶和华如此说：“天是我的座位；地是我的脚凳。你们能为我造怎样的殿宇呢？哪里是我安歇的地方呢？

耶和华如此说：“天是我的座位；地是我的脚凳。你们能为我造怎样的殿宇呢？哪里是我安歇的地方呢？

耶和华说：“天是我的宝座，地是我的脚凳，你们要为我造怎样的殿宇？哪里可作我的安歇之处？

耶和华这样说：“天是我的宝座，地是我的脚凳；你们要在哪里为我建造殿宇呢？怎样的地方才是我安息的所在呢？”

耶和华如此说：“天是我的宝座，地是我的脚凳。你们要为我建造的殿宇在哪里呢？我安歇的地方在哪里呢？”

耶和華如此說：天是我的座位；地是我的腳凳。你們要為我造何等的殿宇？哪裏是我安息的地方呢？

耶和華說：「天是我的寶座，地是我的腳凳，你們要為我造怎樣的殿宇？哪裡可作我的安歇之處？

耶和華這樣說：“天是我的寶座，地是我的腳凳；你們要在哪裡為我建造殿宇呢？怎樣的地方才是我安息的所在呢？”

永恆主這麼說：『天是我的座位，地是我的腳凳；你們要在哪裏為我建殿呢？哪裏是我安居所的地方呢？

耶和華如此說：「天是我的寶座，地是我的腳凳。你們要為我建造的殿宇在哪裡呢？我安歇的地方在哪裡呢？」

耶和華曰、天乃我坐位、地乃我足几、爾將為我建若何之室、以何地為我安息之所乎、

耶和華曰、天乃我坐位、地乃我足凳、爾曹何殿以容我、何地以安我乎。

主如是云、天乃我之寶座、地乃我之足凳、爾曹可為我建何殿、我駐蹕之所、可在何地、

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?

The Lord says,“ Heaven is my throne. The earth is under my control. So how could you ever build a house for me? Where would my resting place be?

Thus says the Lord:“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that? Could you build me such a resting place?

This is what the LORD says: Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool. Where could you possibly build a house for me? And where would my resting place be?

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is My throne and the earth is the footstool for My feet. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest?

Thus says the Lord:“ Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest?

Thus saith Jehovah, Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what manner of house will ye build unto me? and what place shall be my rest?

Thus saith the LORD, The heaven[ is] my throne, and the earth[ is] my footstool: where[ is] the house that ye build unto me? and where[ is] the place of my rest?

This is what the LORD says:“ The heavens are my throne and the earth is my footstool. Where then is the house you will build for me? Where is the place where I will rest?

Yahweh says,“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build to me? Where will I rest?

But I tell you, don’t take an oath at all: either by heaven, because it is God’s throne;or by the earth, because it is His footstool; or by Jerusalem, because it is the city of the great King.

However, the Most High does not dwell in sanctuaries made with hands, as the prophet says:Heaven is My throne, and earth My footstool. What sort of house will you build for Me? says the Lord, or what is My resting place?Did not My hand make all these things?

But will God indeed live on earth? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain You, much less this temple I have built.

The God who made the world and everything in it— He is Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in shrines made by hands.

Let us go to His dwelling place; let us worship at His footstool.

Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, yet you Jews say that the place to worship is in Jerusalem.”Jesus told her,“ Believe Me, woman, an hour is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

“ Go to My servant David and say,‘ This is what the Lord says: Are you to build a house for Me to live in?From the time I brought the Israelites out of Egypt until today I have not lived in a house; instead, I have been moving around with a tent as My dwelling.In all My journeys with all the Israelites, have I ever asked anyone among the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people Israel: Why haven’t you built Me a house of cedar?’

The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes watch; He examines everyone.

Do not trust deceitful words, chanting: This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.Instead, if you really change your ways and your actions, if you act justly toward one another,if you no longer oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow and no longer shed innocent blood in this place or follow other gods, bringing harm on yourselves,I will allow you to live in this place, the land I gave to your ancestors long ago and forever.But look, you keep trusting in deceitful words that cannot help.“ Do you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and follow other gods that you have not known?Then do you come and stand before Me in this house called by My name and say,‘ We are delivered, so we can continue doing all these detestable acts’?Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers in your view? Yes, I too have seen it.” This is the Lord’s declaration.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the Lord’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

The one who takes an oath by the sanctuary takes an oath by it and by Him who dwells in it.And the one who takes an oath by heaven takes an oath by God’s throne and by Him who sits on it.

But will God indeed live on earth with man? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain You, much less this temple I have built.

Exalt the Lord our God; bow in worship at His holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy.

Then He replied to them,“ Don’t you see all these things? I assure you: Not one stone will be left here on another that will not be thrown down!”

“ For My name will be great among the nations, from the rising of the sun to its setting. Incense and pure offerings will be presented in My name in every place because My name will be great among the nations,” says Yahweh of Hosts.
