永恆主這麼說：『天是我的座位，地是我的腳凳；你們要在哪裏為我建殿呢？哪裏是我安居所的地方呢？

耶和華如此說：「天是我的寶座，地是我的腳凳。你們要為我建造的殿宇在哪裡呢？我安歇的地方在哪裡呢？」

耶和華曰、天乃我坐位、地乃我足几、爾將為我建若何之室、以何地為我安息之所乎、

耶和華曰、天乃我坐位、地乃我足凳、爾曹何殿以容我、何地以安我乎。

主如是云、天乃我之寶座、地乃我之足凳、爾曹可為我建何殿、我駐蹕之所、可在何地、

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?

The Lord says,“ Heaven is my throne. The earth is under my control. So how could you ever build a house for me? Where would my resting place be?

Thus says the Lord:“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that? Could you build me such a resting place?

This is what the LORD says: Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool. Where could you possibly build a house for me? And where would my resting place be?

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is My throne and the earth is the footstool for My feet. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest?

Thus says the Lord:“ Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest?

Thus saith Jehovah, Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what manner of house will ye build unto me? and what place shall be my rest?

This is what the Lord says: Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. What house could you possibly build for Me? And what place could be My home?

Thus saith the LORD, The heaven[ is] my throne, and the earth[ is] my footstool: where[ is] the house that ye build unto me? and where[ is] the place of my rest?

This is what the LORD says:“ The heavens are my throne and the earth is my footstool. Where then is the house you will build for me? Where is the place where I will rest?

Yahweh says,“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build to me? Where will I rest?

But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne;or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. (niv)

“ However, the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands. As the prophet says:“‘ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be?Has not my hand made all these things?’ (niv)

“ But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built! (niv)

“ The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. (niv)

“ Let us go to his dwelling place, let us worship at his footstool, saying, (niv)

Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”“ Woman,” Jesus replied,“ believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. (niv)

“ Go and tell my servant David,‘ This is what the Lord says: Are you the one to build me a house to dwell in?I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day. I have been moving from place to place with a tent as my dwelling.Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites, did I ever say to any of their rulers whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel,“ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’ (niv)

The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them. (niv)

Do not trust in deceptive words and say,“ This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord!”If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly,if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm,then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors for ever and ever.But look, you are trusting in deceptive words that are worthless.“‘ Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury, burn incense to Baal and follow other gods you have not known,and then come and stand before me in this house, which bears my Name, and say,“ We are safe”— safe to do all these detestable things?Has this house, which bears my Name, become a den of robbers to you? But I have been watching! declares the Lord. (niv)

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my fellow Israelites, my people. I had it in my heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, for the footstool of our God, and I made plans to build it. (niv)

And anyone who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it.And anyone who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the one who sits on it. (niv)

“ But will God really dwell on earth with humans? The heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built! (niv)

Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy. (niv)

“ Do you see all these things?” he asked.“ Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” (niv)

My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to me, because my name will be great among the nations,” says the Lord Almighty. (niv)
