For my hand has made all these things, and so all these things came to be,” says Yahweh:“ but I will look to this man, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.

主曰、此諸物皆我手所造、此諸物皆我使有、凡困苦者、心憂傷者、敬畏我名者、我必眷顧、

Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord.“ These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.

Didn’t I make everything by my power? That is how all things were created,” announces the Lord.“ The people I value are not proud. They are sorry for the wrong things they have done. They have great respect for what I say.

All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the Lord. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.

My hands have made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are mine. I, the Lord, have spoken!“ I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word.

My hand made them; that is how they came to be,” says the LORD. I show special favor to the humble and contrite, who respect what I have to say.

For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says:“ I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. O God, you will not despise a broken and contrite heart.

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before God, when you heard his words against this place, and against its inhabitants, and have humbled yourself before me, and have torn your clothes, and wept before me, I also have heard you,” says Yahweh.“ Behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you will be gathered to your grave in peace. Your eyes won’t see all the evil that I will bring on this place and on its inhabitants.”’” They brought back word to the king.

Then everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel were assembled to me, because of their trespass of the captivity; and I sat confounded until the evening offering.

For though Yahweh is high, yet he looks after the lowly; but he knows the proud from afar.

My flesh trembles for fear of you. I am afraid of your judgments.

But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying,‘ God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Blessed is the man who always fears; but one who hardens his heart falls into trouble.

So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Hear Yahweh’s word, you who tremble at his word:“ Your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for my name’s sake, have said,‘ Let Yahweh be glorified, that we may see your joy;’ but it is those who shall be disappointed.

Now therefore let’s make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and those who are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those who tremble at the commandment of our God. Let it be done according to the law.

The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to those who are bound,

I heard, and my body trembled. My lips quivered at the voice. Rottenness enters into my bones, and I tremble in my place, because I must wait quietly for the day of trouble, for the coming up of the people who invade us.

because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before Yahweh, when you heard what I spoke against this place, and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and have torn your clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard you,’ says Yahweh.‘ Therefore behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you will be gathered to your grave in peace. Your eyes will not see all the evil which I will bring on this place.’”’” So they brought this message back to the king.

He called for lights, sprang in, fell down trembling before Paul and Silas,brought them out, and said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Surely after that I was turned. I repented. After that I was instructed. I struck my thigh. I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.’Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a darling child? For as often as I speak against him, I still earnestly remember him. therefore my heart yearns for him. I will surely have mercy on him,” says Yahweh.

Yahweh said to him,“ Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”To the others he said in my hearing,“ Go through the city after him, and strike. Don’t let your eye spare, neither have pity.Kill utterly the old man, the young man, the virgin, little children and women; but don’t come near any man on whom is the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” Then they began at the old men who were before the house.

Princes have persecuted me without a cause, but my heart stands in awe of your words.

Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these, who brings out their army by number. He calls them all by name. by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power, not one is lacking.

But rise up and enter into the city, then you will be told what you must do.”

Darkness was on the surface of the deep and God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.God said,“ Let there be light,” and there was light.God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness.God called the light“ day”, and the darkness he called“ night”. There was evening and there was morning, the first day.God said,“ Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so.God called the expanse“ sky”. There was evening and there was morning, a second day.God said,“ Let the waters under the sky be gathered together to one place, and let the dry land appear;” and it was so.God called the dry land“ earth”, and the gathering together of the waters he called“ seas”. God saw that it was good.God blessed them, saying,“ Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.God said,“ Let the earth produce living creatures after their kind, livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind;” and it was so.God made the animals of the earth after their kind, and the livestock after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind. God saw that it was good.God said,“ Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.God blessed them. God said to them,“ Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”God said,“ Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food.To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food;” and it was so.God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.
