亞哈士曰、我不敢也、恐以為試耶和華。

亞哈斯曰、我不求、我不欲試主、

But Ahaz said,“ I will not ask; I will not put the Lord to the test.”

But Ahaz said,“ I won’t ask. I won’t test the Lord.”

But Ahaz said,“ I will not ask, and I will not put the Lord to the test.”

But the king refused.“ No,” he said,“ I will not test the Lord like that.”

But Ahaz replied,“ I will not ask. I will not test the LORD.”

But Ahaz said,“ I will not ask, nor will I put the Lord to the test!”

But Ahaz said,“ I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!”

But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt Jehovah.

But Ahaz replied,“ I will not ask. I will not test the Lord.”

But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.

But Ahaz responded,“ I don’t want to ask; I don’t want to put the LORD to a test.”

But Ahaz said,“ I won’t ask. I won’t tempt Yahweh.”

Peter said to her,“ How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.” (niv)

But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly evildoers prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.’” (niv)

My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to hear your words, but they do not put them into practice. Their mouths speak of love, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain. (niv)

Splash against this altar the blood of all the burnt offerings and sacrifices. But I will use the bronze altar for seeking guidance.” (niv)

We should not test Christ, as some of them did— and were killed by snakes. (niv)

In his time of trouble King Ahaz became even more unfaithful to the Lord. (niv)
