是日也、主以所賃河外之刀、即亞述王、薙其首足之毛、去其髭鬚、○

亞述國王河外之人、爾饋以金、耶和華反使之翦滅爾民、若刀薙毛髮、去髭鬚、自頂放踵、幾無噍類、

當是時主必藉河外之人、即亞述王、翦除民眾、如以所租之薙刀、薙除首髮、足毛、及鬚髯、

In that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria— to shave your heads and private parts, and to cut off your beards also.

At that time the Lord will use the Assyrians to punish you. Ahaz had hired them earlier from east of the Euphrates River. Now their king will be like a razor in the Lord’s hand. He will shave the hair from your head and private parts. He will also shave off your beards.

In that day the Lord will shave with a razor that is hired beyond the River— with the king of Assyria— the head and the hair of the feet, and it will sweep away the beard also.

In that day the Lord will hire a“ razor” from beyond the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria— and use it to shave off everything: your land, your crops, and your people.

On that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria— to shave the hair on your heads, the hair on your legs, and even your beards.

On that day the Lord will shave with a razor, hired from regions beyond the Euphrates River( that is, with the king of Assyria), the head and the hair of the legs; and it will also remove the beard.

In that day will the Lord shave with a razor that is hired in the parts beyond the River, even with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet; and it shall also consume the beard.

In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired,[ namely], by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard.

At that time the sovereign master will use a razor hired from the banks of the Euphrates River, the king of Assyria, to shave the head and the pubic hair; it will also shave off the beard.

In that day the Lord will shave with a razor that is hired in the parts beyond the River, even with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet; and it shall also consume the beard.

「你，人子啊，拿一把快刀當作剃刀，用這刀剃你的頭髮和鬍鬚，然後用天平將鬚髮分成幾份。圍困的日子滿了，你要把三分之一放在城中用火焚燒；三分之一放在城的四圍用刀砍碎；三分之一任風吹散，我要拔刀追趕它們。你要從其中取幾根鬚髮，用衣服的邊包起來，再從其中取一些扔在火裏，在火中焚燒；必有火從其中出來燒盡以色列全家。

斧豈可向用斧砍伐的自誇呢？鋸豈可向拉鋸的自大呢？這好比棍揮動那舉棍的，好比杖舉起那不是木頭的人。

因此，看哪，主必使亞述王和他的威勢如大河翻騰洶湧的水上漲，蓋過他們，必上漲超過一切水道，漲過兩岸，

你們為甚麼屢次悖逆，繼續受責打呢？你們已經滿頭疼痛，全心發昏；

現在我將全地都交在我僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手中，也把野地的走獸給他使用。列國都要服事他和他的子孫，直到他本國遭報的日期來到；那時，許多國家和大君王要使他作奴隸。

亞述王提革拉‧毗列色來攻擊他，不幫助他，反倒欺負他。亞哈斯從耶和華殿裏和王宮中，以及眾領袖家中取財寶送給亞述王，也無濟於事。

禍哉！亞述，我怒氣的棍！他們手中的杖是我的惱恨。我要差遣他攻擊褻瀆的國，吩咐他對付我所惱怒的民，搶走擄物，奪取掠物，將他們踐踏，如同街上的泥土一般。

亞哈斯派使者到亞述王提革拉‧毗列色那裏，說：「我是你的僕人，你的兒子。現在亞蘭王和以色列王攻擊我，求你上來，救我脫離他們的手。」亞哈斯將耶和華殿裏和王宮府庫裏所有的金銀都送給亞述王為禮物。

「人子啊，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒令他的軍兵大力攻打推羅，以致頭都光禿，肩都磨破；然而他和軍兵雖然為攻打推羅花這麼多力氣，卻沒有從那裏得到甚麼犒賞。

耶和華在一日之間從以色列中剪除了頭與尾－棕樹枝與蘆葦－長老和顯要就是頭，以謊言教人的先知就是尾。因為引導這百姓的使他們走入迷途，被引導的都必被吞滅。所以，主不喜愛他們的青年，也不憐憫他們的孤兒和寡婦；因為他們都是褻瀆的，行惡的，並且各人的口都說愚妄的話。雖然如此，耶和華的怒氣並未轉消；他的手依然伸出。

耶和華必使埃及的海灣全然毀壞，他舉手在大河之上颳起了暴熱的風，擊打它，使它分成七條溪流，人穿鞋便可渡過。

看哪，耶和華使地空虛，變為荒蕪，地面扭曲，居民四散。那時，百姓如何，祭司也如何；僕人如何，主人也如何；婢女如何，主母也如何；買主如何，賣主也如何；放債的如何，借貸的也如何；債主如何，欠債的也如何。

我將埃及地賜給他，犒賞他，因他們為我效勞。這是主耶和華說的。

希西家王十四年，亞述王西拿基立上來攻擊猶大的一切堅固的城，將城攻取。猶大王希西家派人到拉吉，亞述王那裏，說：「我錯了，求你撤退離開我；凡你罰我的，我必承當。」於是亞述王罰猶大王希西家三百他連得銀子，三十他連得金子。希西家把耶和華殿裏和王宮府庫裏所有的銀子都給了他。那時，猶大王希西家將耶和華殿門上的金子和他自己包在柱子上的金子都刮下來，給了亞述王。
